Guy got paid in bitcoin. Not a tharki - just greedy.

Also, for the tech nerds here - Telegram is not at all secure (despite all their tall claims). Guy would not be nabbed this easily if he were using something like Signal. I have no idea why so many folks consider Telegram to be this super secure gangsta paradise where you can do whatever the heck you want and get away with it.

Even if you hide your phone number in Telegram, it can be checked easily. They just made fool out of everyone claiming encrypted chats and security compared to WhatsApp whereas they have big backdoor in the app which is relatively easy to exploit.​
