Why don't we make these shit tracked? ..to keep up cross-country.

The best reason is the wheeled vehicles are road mobile and does not need additional logistics during mobilization. Moreover in high altitude areas logistics is even harder owing to their heavy weights.

However the tracked vehicle have their own advantages. In desert/muddy areas where the sand is soft tracked vehicles have better mobility thanks to their lower ground pressure.

So we need a sweet balance between them.

They have bought the Chinese SH-15 which is modern Mounted Gun System (MGS) with a 155/52 caliber gun. As mentioned in the tweet they have expanded the orders to 432 guns (24 Regiments @ 18 guns/regiment) which again is serious challenge to us.​
