Very recently I was watching a podcast of a Canadian JTF2 Sniper where he is talking about hitting targets at 3km+.

He's talking of holdoffs and how the target is not even visible in the scope when you're aiming at something that far off because the elevation angle is so high.

Some company made a prism prototype that goes in front of the scope so the target is still visible at that distance.

Their military ecosystem is coming up with products that allow their warfighters to exceed normal engagement ranges.

And here we are happy with calling a Dragunov as a Sniper rifle.
