Sometimes YT algorithms throw up something interesting.

just my "silly" opinion:- i think we (hindus) should not keep any dev or bhagwan etc name...coz many times others (include hindus themself) include that name nd shout curses nd bad words with it. although they just want to insult that person. many time in crime etc we heard name of any hindu god/godesses. like in case:- indra, shiva, ram, sita, durga etc. so we should only use dev/devi etc name as second sirname or third sirname. coz most time people dont abuse by putting other person sirname.

Completely agree. Today's generation(bunch of degenerates) use a lot of curse words in their everyday conversation with friends. So either make them stop using expletives which is hard to do, or don't give names of Devtas to your children as first name.

In fact I'm surprised the lecture was cancelled which is highly unusual.

one year old video of Mahendra singh dhoni visited his ancestors village lwali in almora, uttarakhand. this video is only for "where ever u reach, never forgot ur roots". uttarakhand nd other state villages people return to their ancestors village for worshipping their kul devi/ kul devta....this is our indian culture. 😍😍

Moolshankar Tiwari. Came as a surprise to me too but apparently there are Gujju Jhas who're non Brahmins , Sharmas & Tiwaris from Sind who're Brahmins & also Shuklas & Tiwaris from Gujarat who're obviously Brahmins.

Could be ancestors from N India moved westwards centuries ago for different reasons.
North Indian Brahmins that migrated to then parts of Southern Rajasthan and Northern Gujarat are called "Audichya Brahmins" - the word audichya itself means 'northerner'; this migration most likely occurred during starting of the reigns of Solanki // Chalukya dynasty here over some politically motivated reasons (read about coronation of founder king Mulraja Solanki) around 10th Century A.D.

I'm not sure if Moola Shankar Tiwari // Dayanand Saraswati himself was descendent of these O G Audichyas or just some later era hindi-speaking north indian brahmin family, as his family name was still Tiwari (or localised as 'Trawadi' in gujarati) - but wikipedia and some sources mentions him as an Audichya - otherwise there do exist other brahmins in Gujarat too who're not directly related to Audichyas but share common surnames and norms to some extent

oh and yes, his name Moola Shankar was resulting from his (supposedly inauspicious) birth in Moola Nakshatra that's got it's own seemingly negative traits, requiring a kind of shanti puja called "Ganda Moola Nakshatra Shanti" something - his father was a pundit himself and aware of his kundli things so named him behind his nakshatra to perhaps reduce ill effects and all (Moola Nakshatra's devi is Nirrti which is vedic devi of destruction, proto-version of Kaali, and Moola in nakshatra's namesake is having 'jhade khod dena' style problematic traits of finding truth behind things, you know 🤷‍♂️)

coming to Audichyas, the legend goes like ~1000+ some families moved here so they brought their surnames with them, some retained it as original
e.g. Shukla (though Gujarati pronunciation of it is a little different, Shu-k-l = शुक्ल instead of commonly known Shu-kla = शुकला - in fact if someone pronounce it as first one it's assumed he's a gujarati brahmin or vice versa), Joshi etc;

while many got localised in one way or other;
e.g.
Trivedi / Tripathi / Trawadi
Yagnik / Gyani / Jyani / Jani
Pandit / Pandya
Brahmabhatt / Bhatt
Dwivedi / Dave
etc

it's been more than 1000 years so majority of Audichyas have been localised and nowadays modernised too, but their origins are from Northern side of brahmins only, yes

In a significant step to promote Indian culture, the Uttarakhand government announced a landmark decision. Moving forward, all official notifications, gazette publications, inauguration plaques, and foundation stones in the state will prominently mention not only the Gregorian date and year but also the Vikram Samvat and corresponding Hindu month (such as Phalguna, Chaitra, Krishna Paksha/Shukla Paksha).

I wish we used gupta era - that is indisputably Indian in origin. Vikram samvat - its also known as Shaka calendar, as its started by/during reign of an Indo-Scythian ruler in 1st century BCE.

do u see this type of attitude with indian converts??? nah. never.

No, we do. But the ones who do that are immediately mocked and ridiculed.

Abdul Kalam, Mohammed Shami, Abbas Naqvi, Najma Heptulla, KK Mohammed, Arif Mohammed Khan are called 'sarkari muslims'.

Sections of christians down south (who have been Christians for generations, like the Syrian Christians of Kerala etc) have been dubbed 'Chrisanghis' by dmk media. Mary Kom was mocked for taking a dip in Kumbh. Anju Bobby George is ridiculed cuz she is viewed as a 'BJP agent' - her illustrious sporting career did not matter to those critics.

Indian 'secularism' has always worked that way only.
