Indian High Speed Rail

We should actually moved the HSR to Indian Gauge. But we decided to go for Standard Gauge. With Indian Gauge the cost will be slightly higher since we need to build a new trainset and Japanese will rip off for the Prototype they will manufacture. This also gives an chance to build a much broader trainset.
Why would we go in for a specific "Indian Gauge " whatever that means , incur extra costs in laying tracks developing train sets etc when we can adopt the standard gauge keep costs down , develop our own indigenous technologies like the Chinese & sell it abroad.
But we going with Standard Gauge and hence the HSR System will be isolated from Main IR Line.

In any case where do we see mixing of broad gauge & standard gauge for HSR lines anywhere in the world especially relevant in our parts for track crossings by humans & animals are a daily occurence.
We went with Unigauge and this activity kind of backtracking the approach.

You'd have to elaborate .

For next stage, HSR needs to be expanded for meaningful usage.
1. Ahmedabad - New Delhi.
2. Mumbai - Pune.
3. Pune - Hyderabad
4. Pune - Bengaluru
5. Bengaluru - Hyderabad
6. Chennai - Hyderabad.
7. Chennai - Trivandrum
8. Bengaluru -Trivandrum.
9. Chennai - Hyderabad - Nagpur - Delhi HSR.

These are the routes where you can go for HSR blindly simply the crowd is ready to spend money. Just look at the VB trains waiting list in this sections.

We can spend extra money on building train for Indian gauge, since it is wider than Standard gauge meaning we can get extra space for Chair seats and berths. Only Iberian, Russian, Indian gauges were wider and other parts of world do not have these wider gauges. EU went with Standard gauge and this forced them to maintain the same. On other hand we don't have any restrictions, and we can explore the Indian gauge for getting even wider coaches.

Anyways MAHSR is on JICA loan and japs will provide everything to us.

Indian gauge makes no sense. Standard across the world is fine. Indian's are smaller physically than other specimens of people, so why do the trains need to be larger? HSR is supposed to be a pricier option so it's not like it is going to be crammed with 1 billion people. I don't understand the reasoning.
