For people with more knowledge why dont we take a nuclear propulsion system from arihant repurpose it to make electricity (83Mw) efficiently
Then mount it on a conventional ship and cheeres we have a transportable electricity source 83Mw is enough for a small city too and island which are Andaman and nicobar size

Perhaps cost and the fact that it needs more enriched uranium . But the result of working on the arihants power plant is the upcoming IPWR 900

The title is clickbaity .. With small modifications these are getting turned into hydrogen producers .The renaming is pure marketing. The private sector involvement is only funding and perhaps buying the hydrogen.

Technically yes, but it's not a great idea. Infact, ships are supposed to run on shore based power while in doc to preserve the life of their powerplants.
Not doing so is a major reason for issues with adm kuznietzov

can't just link up a powership to the grid, it will need preparatory work.

GMR used to have a ship/barge based power plant, powered by naphtha, only one from India as far i know. considering no one else thought it is a good investment, may be powerships do not make commercial sense, for Indian scenarios. our discoms are notorious for not paying on time.
