Officers from SF visited PLR a month or two ago for testing out new small arms like X-95, Arad, Carmel, Uzi Pro, Masadas, And the Dan .338 Sniper...

But I have heard Sako does the job well + their variant has a shorter barel & foldable buttstock. Imo they need a new DMR to replace galil

Sakos are great but the design is a bit bulky , dan is nice and slim thus good for carrying around for a long time .

Background check as in? After you get in, you can opt for paras in the last term of your course. No further medical checkup/background check other than the one done already done during SSB. Navy SF does a remedical though + limited vacancies.
