The equipment must be tested in cold climate also.

This drill is a one hand down drill .
Essentially if one of your hand is rendered unusable this drill aims on training folks so that they can still use their weapons upto a certain degree . It is a last ditch survival attempt thus accuracy is not much expected .
Some even train to clear malfunction's with one hand down.
I would say i am impressed from CRPF of all.

Also AKs are the most user friendly for such drills , ARs are a hassle but bullpups are horrendously hard .
The GreyHounds also has this drill ..

14 people dead till now, MARCOS gonna feel insane heat now
Tbh They should,14 innocent lives were lost .
Shouldn't they do such trials in empty or cordoned off waters ?
You know somewhere were Civilians aren't present ?
Can anyone explain the protocol for this kind of trials worldwide?

Yes Navy might be at fault but the problems with ferries can't be ignored to the safety measure rules are suggestions in this country (no vests and overcrowded is what I am hearing rn) imagine not wearing vests on a bloody boat wouldn't have in any serious country we also lost some people few months back because of this no vest drama on boats(some river or pond I don't remember) it's time to adress issues on both sides .

Brave, really brave ( if true)
Really? they dint jump off the boat to save people on the ferry? Sounds stupid. They are not in firefight nor they could have done anything against the ferry. They could have been more helpful if they had jumped and may be could have helped rescue people (considering the comment is true which looks unlikely).

Well,it seemed to me from the video that no one was expecting the outcome.

Secondly, they would have been more useful had they not been dead.
Agreed, they are our assets but what they did was truly courageous, again proving the fact that despite problems in senior leadership and equipment profile of the forces our junior ranks have always gone above and beyond the call of duty, om Shanti to the departed

Is everything at home fine ?
Ahh you gonna drive your speedboat in polar climate? Fighting what polar bears?
You've got to chill out, bruv. This is coming off as really tone-deaf right now.

Maneuvering through icebergs will enhance their capability to maneuver in Pangong Tso lake during heavy Chinese shelling and in Sundarban deltas. More over how the equipment would react in harsh winters can be tested there too. During chinese shelling the Pangong Tso would melt and will become maneuverable. It will increase their winter fighting capabilities on water especially in southern most part of Indian ocean and in pacific. Marcos has to take such training disciplines.

To install data lines beneath the sea for a covert listening station somewhere close to arctic or antarctic for a second or third country this is a must training.

I gotta hand it to you man. You have a really descriptive but absurdly wild imagination of how things w.r.t to Military/SF functions and will function in the future.
But all I am going to say is the reality is vastly different than an Ian Fleming novel.

If tomorrow Indian companies take part in installing the cables then it is also India's responsibility to a good extent to see that the project is not sabotaged. As a member of QUAD it will be India's responsibility too to protect such infrastructure.
