Western News Article on Indian army during Operation Brasstacks
>Note Indian army modernizing entry into Tank Warfare
>Note Indian Military Budget
>Western Dplmat notes “This was no Third World Army…. This is a fully modernized army, competent for any mission, as good as Chinese Koreans or the French”.

TLDR: I believe the Indian Army from 1971-early 90s was a fully modern force for its time, Capabale of defending its borders from any country of that era, and with heavy losses to the enemies.

You could forgive the cr@p equipment- it’s been discussed to death. It is what it is, the same big brains that value their golf courses and jet packs aren’t interested In the difference between MLOK and P-rails

But their tactics and movements are objectively dogsh!t, you could genuinely do better after watching a few YouTube videos on your phone. There’s 0 excuse for it, these guys draw a salary, they are meant to be professional soldiers and they still look less high speed than a local municipality’s SWAT team in the West

As long as they look ‘cool’ on the ‘gram or in the edits, if they get smoked by jihadis in broad daylight that is apparently a secondary concern

Decades of ‘combat experience’ and these boys are less honed than an average NATO infantry unit in GWOT

exactly the go inside a room as if a train is moving through the tunnel....now watch how they own the room in the west, even the two man CQB seems more flexible and robust than this
