How about using Carl Gustav at an angle?Have these been inducted/planned to be inducted by the SF units? @Unknowncommando @Airborne22 anyone else?

Could be a very potent force multiplier. Compliment the CG within the units, Launch tube based UAS for forward observation etc.
Oh bejesus no...How about using Carl Gustav at an angle?
oh no. The back blast alone will be the least of their worries. How about using Carl Gustav at an angle?
What other option do a soldier with practical mindset have? Getting injured/killed due to lack of basic gears is stupidity. iA will award another Cakra in case of any casualty and be done with him. He and his family will suffer eternally for the loss. That is a bad precedent. Why would anyone have to shell out their hard earned money for their kit which is supposed to be supplied by govt? If its something of 500-1000 it was okay, but those crye pants and cost atleast two months of my salary.

11 para got pvs31s that' means 9,4 alredy have them
Absolutely. Top down is not going to happen because those at the top don’t have to risk their life in combat and are cozy sitting in AC cabins of cantonments in some metro city with servants and bulletproof vehicles at their disposal for shopping and going to holidays and movies.Best bet for any sensible officer rn is to spend 5-6 lakhs on his kit. Maybe gift a locally made rig + battle belt to his buddy on his bday. And sort of influence his squad to save up and buy their own things.
Small changes. Top down is difficult

Because they've gone under some other organization, probably SFTSWonder why did they not take their AT PCs
Have u heard about the back blast story from Sri Lanka ops?How about using Carl Gustav at an angle?
My suggestion was still keeping it on your shoulders, but instead of keeping it horizontal, tilting it upwards at 30-45°.Have u heard about the back blast story from Sri Lanka ops?
Mortars have fin stabilization for good accurate aiming , carl is more like a tank shell hard to aim even if we do that .My suggestion was still keeping it on your shoulders, but instead of keeping it horizontal, tilting it upwards at 30-45°.
In this case back blast will still be behind, but directed towards ground instead of horizontal, there should still be 1m or more distance between the back of gustav and the ground.
I was not talking about setting it up on ground like a mortar.
wall collapsed civilians diedHave u heard about the back blast story from Sri Lanka ops?
Once a Indian Army camp in Sri Lanka was overrun by LTTE..Most of the troops were killed and one Cook was captured.wall collapsed civilians died
Can't we develop specialised shells for Carl, also add aiming device and mini ballistic calculator on gustav's to use them in indirect fire.Mortars have fin stabilization for good accurate aiming , carl is more like a tank shell hard to aim even if we do that .
moreover mortars are cheap and have multiple shell options from HE to smoke and illumination . these mortars have smaller lighter shells so more carrying capacity .
Mortars can be used to fie at targets which are close but are not in direct line of sight , Carl can't do that.
that will be costly and you will leave everything on one system , causing a single point of failure . Say the Carl Gustaf breaks down you will be heft without a support wepon .Can't we develop specialised shells for Carl, also add aiming device and mini ballistic calculator on gustav's to use them in indirect fire.
In that way sf Don't need to carry two different types of systems in their buggies.
Can just caru modified Carl, and different rounds for different purpose.
