US special forces wanted them to watch their backs and trust them, so they got the most capable afghanis and taught them everything. Their life was on the line, they would never invest that effort into India, they have nothing to gain.

I think an IQ test should be part of para sf selection, maybe then they would put in the bare minimum of research. If i was running into building fighting terrorist my whole search history would be about that topic. All they do is make reels with punjabi music.

It's more about the institution, its environment and what they teach.

I had a friend in RR who was a jawan..he told me this story..

They went into operation in the same place which is bothering Para SF recently.

So these RR folks had laid a cordon but due to the terrain could not make out where the caves were from which fire was coming.

They played safe and soon Para SF was dropped.

As soon as they landed they charged towards the general direction from which fire was coming.

2 operators got hit..one was hit in the head and got matyred on the spot…the second one was alive and crying like a kid to be evacuated.

Same guy 15 minutes ago was acting in front of RR guys like he is a Rambo.

My full respect to the sacrifice and service but this ego boosting by the unit after probation is one of the reason for not wanting to learn anything at all…Coz everyone keeps telling you are the best and nothing can happen to you.

Rest of the problems are pretty higher ups!

Unless we adopt an expeditionary doctrine, such large scale landing doesn't really make sense for us. However, for our immediate neighbours, these beach head capture ops are definitely something that can happen in a full scale invasion scenario.

Dude this is supposed to be someone who joined the Army, went through infantry school, got a posting somewhere, then went for Para probation, cleared it somehow, and is now part of a contingent of "elite" soldiers in a bilateral exercise. Are you kidding me?!
Oh my god, I hope no one posts this on a subreddit. 12 yr olds would eat into us and they probably have better weapon handling skills than this "operative".
