Indian Special Forces

Since we don't really have these kinds of discussions, I thought I would start it here because of relevance.

This is a look into COIN operations through the lens of tactics and errors:

The basic plot of the book is to instill proper doctrine in the form of a fictional character, who goes through "dreams" of unsuccessful and successful encounters against the enemy.

This book(The Defense of Jisr Al Doreaa) is used to teach 2/Lts about COIN ops - in similar vein to older books following the same format: The Defense of Hill 781(an allegory on modern combat from the eyes of a mechanized infantry battalion), and The Defense of Duffer's Drift(a classic military literaure piece on company level defense operations set in the Second Boer war)

If anyone is interested, there's a whole animated segment following each chapter(dream) of the book:

My hope by sharing this is that we can actually learn, and then dissect and anticipate(with a carefully placed margin of doubt) what many COIN teams in India might actually do in the event that some sort of terrorist sighting is reported(and conveniently, anticipate what the terrorists might be doing)

(also because this among one of the only threads in DFB where people are willing to go deep)

ps: I think it would be far better a usage of our time than just bashing SF procurements or controlled environment drills(although that indeed, has its own place).

How did they built it without any detection from army, especially Special forces who operates in these areas!!??

OGWs build these for them, some go completely undetected and some are interpreted as 'Civilian Activities' as they build it.
(Also you cant just straight up label and question it as a hideout mid construction coz civilians also have smaller storages like these around their houses, thats what I have heard)

Still behind even 1990s spec US SOF, forget what they were running in mid 2010s GWOT
Dude we should stop comparing ourselves with US that too JSOC. Even Countries like China with high human resources, capital and technology can never replicate a war machine like JSOC, let alone India.
