Indian Special Forces (39 Viewers)

General Question. The AFSOD will be composed of the following forces.

1. PARA SF (Army)
2. GARUDS (IAF)
3. MARCOS (IN)

RAW is managing
1. Special Groups (SG)

Can anyone shed who will manage SFF (Special Frontier Force) whether it is AFSOD or RAW.

Now what will be the JSOC Equivalent for us. Whether we move the Special Groups under AFSOD. What is the future of SFF, whether it exists or it will merge with PARA SF.
I will try to cover everything you asked one by one
Tri Service SFC will have all three SFs ofc
SG and SFF will likely not be part of this due to it’s intelligence heavy mission profile
Now why are they not getting integrated in this-
1.RAW units operate in grey zones with plausible deniability unlike Tri-service SFs overt actions
2.Mandate difference-TSSFC is military and RAW units are strategic and covert

So our JSOC equivalent
JSOC includes DF,ST6,24TH STS&Intelligence integration
For us the TSSFC could evolve but currently lacks-
1.Direct control over SG/SFF
2.integrated intelligence
3.Dedicated aviation and logistics assests

SFF Future
1.For now under RAW
2.No merger with PARA SF (idk where that even came from)
3.likely to remain covert intelligence based unit for specific roles
4.Operational role may expand but under RAW

(Sorry if I missed anything feel free to add or correct me)
