Army doesnt attract the best brains anymore like the 70s.

These are people who joined Army for pension and as soon as they hit the numbers they retire.

Lot of our Iconic Army heads were product of then British Indian Army. They were trained in Expeditionary warfare and participated in WW2. Those people were no more and over the period of time our mindset is changed into protect our country only. Thus Genrols were happy to protect their turf and stop wasting about proactiveness.

Exception were there but they are not in power to change anything. Defence Minister is a career politician with no Military knowledge.

Too busy getting being meat shield rn anyway needs to move towards NATO tactics which even mother Russia seems to be adopting now especially SF War seems to have pushed them towards getting better at their job

Look at Israel and US..they go to war to refine their tactics skills and invent weapons.

Yesterday i was watching AK 47 movie and Kalasnikov had more knowledge in 1940s that these idiotic inventers of Insas.

If you refine a skill and may god forbid some misshapen takes place, the blame game in Indian system would be enormous, can lead to delay in promotion and punishment postings. Borrow from already proven skills that's safer for every one.
