If I were living in a region that is frequented by such large predators, I'd never go out without wearing one of those spiked colars around my neck, LMAO.
well we put that spiked colars around our bhotia dogs (guarding pahadi dogs) old times. coz our ancestors traveled during nights also. they spend nights in jungle during their long seasonal migration journey. spiked colars is very effective. 1-2 bhotia dog with spiked colars can fight with leopard also. although they can fight leopard even without spiked colar, but they can be wounded or some rare time killed. thats why shepherd nd travellers keep bhotia dogs in uttarakhand (other state also).

I fucking hate leopards with a passion, little better than pests... a deadly pest.

dude where i currently live is hilly town. nd my house is far away from main market. so we hv many step fields to reach my home. below 200-300 meter down there is forest. we heard leopard roar many times in night from our homes, coz leopards wander near our area in search of food at night. yes some leopard attacks happen in our state (uttarakhand). but i never heard any incidents around me. coz we follow common rule. we come to our home at summer night before 9-10 PM nd only go in morning after 5 AM. winter time we come to home near 7-8 PM nd morning 6-7 AM. by following this basic rule, we never face leopard in our life, although they lived 200-300 meter down in forest. believe me many time i heard their roar etc only 50 meter away from my home near 11 PM. my parents show leopard in our front gate only one time in middle of night. although we hear their roar nd sound many times in a year. same goes for wild boars.

So we can easily avoid wild animals...if we know their behaviour, pattern nd adjusting our time. yeah unlucky inccident can happen with someone, but its rare. we already bring them in some thousand number. so no need to kill them. if we keep doing it, it will definitely effect food chain of ecosystem. which is also harmful for us.
I'd like to know more about this food chain science, and how/if deadly predatory animals are integral to it! I do know that last year in Kumaon or Garhwal, at least 6 people were killed by deadly wolves. That is too many in too brief a time.

10 people killed by wolves, that is totally unacceptable. One trusts that each one of those wolves were captured and put down.
