India needs to attach a condition to this agreement. India will only agree to accept 18k citizens back as long as they extradite Pannu and his terrorist gang along with David Headley and Rana, etc. and other criminals on India's list of wanted.

Otherwise, India has no problem not accepting these people.

Unlike in last term, where Trump was an outsider and his advisors compromised partly by the DS, this time hopefully things will be different with Tulsi/Kash directly involved in his daily briefings.
Although less likely, I hope something positive comes out this term on Manipur and Bdesh.
With no major elections in the horizon (discounting Delhi) and a more favorable Trump Admin, there can be no better window of opportunity to put atleast the NE issue to rest.

The gormint is duty bound to take back illegal immigrants if pressed by a phoren govt. Not the first time something like this is happening. Did not happen during Biden's term because his administration was running on autopilot.
