Christmas is not really christian anymore. Even my family celebrate it without any christian element. It is really a scandinavian pagan holiday that was appropriated by the Church and turned into Christian rite.

If you really want to talk about cultural misappropriation, there is no bigger cultural misappropriation than the Church and other denominations following after the Church adopting the Christmas ritual and making it Christian event.

Eastern Orthodoxy don't really celebrate Christmas, only Jan 6 when the mages supposedly reached Jesus. However, that is even still curious because Jesus was not born in winter but in spring like around April or something.
