Doesn't the purview of training depends on higher ups. It's the duty of commanders to make sure that the troops are properly equipped and trained. So, I guess the criticism should go to them here in this case. Anyway, they always direct it towards babus to save themselves.

But but..... See the language....yada yada

Our procurement might be fuc*d and so is MoD bureaucracy but I highly believe it's the dreamland RFIs and not making a base for local weapons. To me it seems IA didn't know what they want and even when implementing something, it always look half assed, like some kind of knockoff thing. For example, they ordered mku helmets but no matching cover with the combat dress. No standardisation at all.

IA in essence has a lot of characteristics of an irregular militia but with a lot of heavy equipments.

I don't mind getting late modernization but atleast do it right now. Only using a single camo for different terrains as ours was already a flawed decision.

This is the ViSHwaGUrU we are..... obsolete on day one.

I wish to see the day when all procurement fu*k ups are made responsible and make the relevant people answerable. Stop their promotions, demote them, anything. This is not only misuse of citizens taxpayer money of our poor nation but also a matter of national security.

There's a reason, I say we should go with UGRAM and not gucchi Sigs, when we are not going to mount magnifier optics on them for another 24 years, UGRAM is as good or bad as Sigs when we are not using strengths of a full calibre battle rifle. Will save us foreign exchange as well and provide jobs for local population and other tier 2 and 3 suppliers of raw materials.
