Both tilting upwards and downwards are done to accomplish the same result; prevent someone from grabbing the rifle and flagging your teammate. Generally upwards is used by regular forces and downwards by ones who have advanced training in CQB. But end of the day it's up to the preference of individual operators.

Any self respecting force would provide buggies for BSF to carry Mortars and ATGMs. But "muh camels muh traditions" jhumlabaaji continues to paint us as unserious and laughing stocks.

The problem here is not the use of horses and camels in a parade happening in 2025. Infact if used properly then nothing can be more adrenaline rushing than a cavalry, take French Garde Républicaine for example
