yes...these 5000 tons 8 corvette also cost 36000 crore or 4.3 billion dollars.... means per corvette 538 million dollars, which is similar cost of other countries 4500 ton frigate. this amount is approx similar cost of 2000 ton displacement Israeli SAAR 6, which hv impressive firepower 36+16 nd other smaller sam missiles also ...hope this corvette missile count not less than 32+8= 40 minimum. if they cant add bigger 32 barak 8 on it, atleast it should hv 32 smaller VLSRAM missiles. kamorta class (3300 ton) corvette dont hv any sam missiles nd anti ship missiles yet. that hv only anti submarine capability. we wasted too much space in our naval ships. i really want a full fledged SAAR 6 type corvette with same firepower nd capabilities, but in 4500 ton displacement. so it hv longer range also.

We use codag propulsion too which has its advantages in our seas

If we would be looking at your requirement which is a ship jam packed in 4.5k tonnage then 8 brahmos/32 vlsrsam/16 lrsam/lwt and ak-630 this would be good for you but in case of upgradability this is sh!t

vls is hugeeeeeeeeeeee takes too much hull space 40 of those is unimplementable
We should make 2 uvls one for brahmos and one for air defence missiles thats the better option imo

What's the dimensions of a VLS cell?? Any idea?? And as per you, is it the diameter that's the problem or the length??

hehe...dude not every ships need 3000 kg supersonic brahmos missiles. even a 1500 kg tomahawk type subsonic missile is good against even destroyers. we show how two Ukrainian subsonic missile sink one russian cruiser (15000 ton displacement), which had 120+ missiles capacity. so its not easy to deal with even subsonic sea skimming anti ship missiles. for a SAAR 6 israli type 4500 ton displacement corvette fill all requirements. from longer range to enough space for future upgrade. i dont think israeli is this stupid, to make a ship which they cant upgrade in future. every machine is customisable.
about range, 4500 ton ships can easily give 4000-5000 km range. i dont think u want ur corvette do operation in pacific sea or south china sea. corvette is made for shorter range operations. dont think like chinese petrol ships (who r big 10000+ ton displacement, no other nation make this big petrol ships) we need out of box solution.

well 40 brahmos on 5000 ton corvette is too much to ask, or it have to remove its air defense sam missiles place ...it can only equip 8 brahmos like big missile. even 3000 kg nd 8 meter length 40 brahmos cant fit on 10000 ton displacement arleigh class destroyers. but it can equip on 13000+ ton cruisers for sure. our upcoming project 18 cruiser/destroyer will hv 40+ brahmos capacity, with 60+ sam missiles also. i m sure it can equip 120 missiles of different class of antiship nd sam missiles.

Thats a true statement but where is our tomahawk equivalent or vlsrsam or ersam or sea launched anti ballistic missile ?
All of them are in rnd/testing if you want to put them up you will need space (hell lot of it)

Israeli corvette have mature weaponery which wont change for a fairly long time the c dome ,gabrial and barak ain't changing for at least 5-10 years thats not the case with us

Ever wonder why old soviet ships need to spend so much time in dockyards cause they are jampacked with weapons if you wanna put an equipment on it you have yo dissassemble whole section thats problematic cause it take the hulls out of the sea for years we cant afford that considering we have two lovely neighbours here and there

It is a fan-made poster, using the French Fremm, CSL isn't making NGC.
