no heli deck, sam vls in both starboard and port side of ship after main island and main engine exhaust

I have checked the images again and it seems that indeed there is space for 2 x 8 cell VL-SRSAM on either port and starboard side of the smokestack.

Initially it was thought that BrahMos NG (8 no.s) were to be used but since the planned missile was not available for immediate use, the larger and heavier BrahMos ER (4 no.s) were used instead.

BEL - Lynx-U2 fire-control radar is being used instead of the EL/M-2221 STGR fire-control radar per latest news available to us.

The ministry of defence signed a contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bangalore, for the procurement of 13 indigenously developed Lynx-U2 fire control systems capable of accurately tracking and engaging targets amidst sea clutter as well as air/surface targets for the Indian Navy at a total cost of over ₹1,700 crore.
