Namaste everyone! It's great to see that an alternative to DFI has been made. My sincere appreciation to the guys who took the pain and efforts to make this wonderful forum as a successor to DFI, hopefully we will carry forth the legacy of DFI as the premier forum for Indian defence enthusiasts from across India and globally.

DFI is the only forum where I have actively participated in discussions on topics that are relevant to be spoken about in a defence forum. I did join a Turkish and Russian forum but left because I had some login issue and of course they are very biased and one sided in their discussions.
E.g: F.16.net is biased towards American equipment so obviously as a user you can expect some heavy "American, European fighter jet is superior to Soviet/Russian fighter jet" comment. The same is the case with Russian Defence.
DFI is the one place where I find that we can have a much better balanced discussion and valid comparison of both Eastern (Russian, Chinese etc) and Western (American, British, European etc) equipment. It's not the case with other forums. I always wish to stay on this new forum because it feels more like home. On non-indian forums you will face racism and do not even ask me about my experience with foreigners and racism.

I think that @hit&run @Indx TechStyle @ezsasa should be appointed as the mods. They have done a wonderful job of moderating the previous forum and making it a wonderful place for discussion and I am sure as mods they won't disappoint us in the new forum. But I do have some sincere requests to the mods/administrators of this forum.
1. Please get rid of any Chinese bots who spam posts after posts, the previous forum's Thread "Russia-Ukraine war 2022" was pretty much ruined by a Chinese bot who with multiple accounts spammed almost 10000 posts, and so many unnecessary pages were added. This thread was a goldmine of information on geopolitics and a lot of good information was posted by DFI-ians there and it's sad some stupid Chinese spam bots ruined it.
2. Please try and avoid foul language and usage of curse words against each other especially with the intent of personal attacks. We can mock the Pakistanis and Chinese, even the west but try and maintain a sense of civil respect for everyone here.
3. Please follow my #1 and #2.

Thank you.
Regards to all the current mods and future mods of the forum. Hope we make this site a wonderful repository of knowledge and information.

I nominate myself.

My qualifications:

1. Neutrality - I was a lurker on the last forum so I don't have a history with anybody here. I also don't know the personal grudges or grievances you might have amongst each other. I also swear to be unaware of these relationships going forward.

2. Flexibility - Want a controversial post buried? Slip me a virtual coffee, and consider it done. Need a rival silenced? We can work something out. I'm not corrupt, I just practice the fine art of strategic flexibilty.

3. Role model - I believe in capitalism. To showcase the power of deregulation, I will be inattentive to forum activity. My inbox will be like Narnia, full of surprises but largely unseen. Site engagement, just like the Indian economy, will boom and we'll be a superforum by 2030.

One of my first actions as a mod will be to strengthen the import lobby. Why settle for substandard domestic discussion when we can import high level banter? A weekly pinned foreign affairs thread will exist and defense forums for other military powers will be created.

I veto his nomination, and sacrifice mine too along with it to negate the motion proposed by mentioned party

Do we have enough capable moderators in this new forum.
