Thats more concerning because then you have a weak PM who have to use CDS bashing to save his skin..I am not sure what to believe at this point ..Either we have a weak PM or we have idiot CDS ..Online e-lashkars are abusing the CDS for repeating what has long been the official stance of the incumbent since the very beginning. The delegations they sent abroad are making this exact point. Tharki Tharoor, the new blue eyed boy of our e-lashkars is on record claiming that India is interested in developing its own economy and wants to be left alone.
And yet, it is the CDS who needs to be scapegoated just cuz his 'tone' is not 'aggressive enough'....
Has it ever occurred to you that he is talking that way cuz the incumbent wants him to? When the incumbent PM is threatening the inbreds and directly mentioning pakiland in his speeches (on a daily basis) how much more 'aggression' do you hope for?
Exactly. His tone is not aggressive enough. He is a military general. He has no business lecturing about peace and economy. Leave that to politicians.
One aircraft was shot down by s400 40N6E missle in Pakistan gujrat few local said it's drone but unlikely since the fire was largeVery interesting! But it is hard to believe that Pakistani jet destruction is unverified as of now. There have been strong hints of such successful attacks at the 11-12 air bases that were struck, as well as a few in the air. What happened to the 2 awacs aircraft( at least one) that were said to be lost. Are only hangars and runways( apart from radars) confirmed to be damaged. And no aircraft?
It can't be a small aircraft the blast and the burning aircraft was a large one, it's definitely big and carried a lot of fuel for it to burn for a long time. Awac most certainly, refueler a distant guess as it would have burnt a few fields for sure.Yes either awacs or some other aircraft
GoI it's various arms including our security managers seem to forget that while Paxtan is but a distraction it serves the purpose of sharpening our skills doctrines tactics & strategy across multiple dimensions for the ultimate test - China.
You'd get a second or third or fourth if not multiple chances against them for after all they're our brother in arms . Pun unintended.
You're not going to get second chances with the Chinese.
Our establishment by choosing to field the CDS for a convention in Singapore before releasing a comprehensive report on the entire campaign inclusive of wins losses lessons learnt etc is putting the cart before the horse.
Apparently it is understood that the CDS was fielded before the foreign media coz the JCoS from Paxtan was there & the Chinese Defence Minister was expected there which would've meant multiple interviews to these outlets.
The Indian CDS refusing interviews to the foreign media would appear churlish & cowardly . Hence the multiple interviews
My position is very simple - weren't the security establishment aware of the Shangri-La Conference or was there some confusion about who was to represent us there?
If the CDS was chosen at the last minute wasn't it a given he'd have to face the international media ? Why wasn't the report timed to come out with his departure to Singapore ?
Why aren't all these things co ordinated ? By bringing out the report now it seems more like rationalisation if not a fait accompli & not does not possess the tone or tenor or the strut of a successful side.
Unfortunately , we still haven't learnt to act like we've won even when we've won .
