War is reality and it’s not far. It’s just a few years away not decades. We might have f16 or fa 18 to defending our borders. Which are anyways in phase out periods with USA. But stand no chance in front of fifth gen fighters where as f35 is a good stealth jet but very very expensive to maintain for a developing nation.

Fiber optic FPV drones are a game changer especially in mountain and jungle terrain. Traditional FPVs suffer from LOS issues and are vulnerable to EW/Jamming.

IA also needs to work on defense options and tactics against these, SMASH C-UAS weapon sight, shotguns, netting [on road, bunkers & infra] and interceptor drones are some of the options in my opinion.

This is a pretty good setup by IA, maybe needs more netting to cover gaps [not with iron chains].

ISPR ones can sometimes be amusing too. It is surprising considering Pakistan (Urdu) and India (Hindi) are linguistically similar when spoken.

To me chains on the sides of turret (cope canopy) and back of hull are very functional. It will damage the rotor blades of FPV and prevent it from hitting the intended spot.

Currently there are gaps on the front and back of turret, there instead of putting nothing I would have put some netting. It would not limit visibility significantly (compared to chains) and machine gun would still be able to fire through. The crew when getting in or out of turret would do so from the chain side of the turret.
