This has again been proven in the Russian-Ukr war that uber weapon is an enigma and its the cheap workhorses which can tilt the war in your favour.
All the talks of Abrams, PZ2000, M777 have vanished as they could not even be repaired near the breakdown sites and had to be transported hundreds of miles for maintenance or were found inadequate for sustained fire - adding to the logistica nightmare.
That's what I am advocating buying simpler offensive weapons rather than waiting for more Rafales or hypothetical F35.

However, one thing we should learn from the west is how to tell their stories well( no matter how small or simple they are).
You are absolutely right about Russian equivalent of Hollywood movies.
I have scoured the net and watched everything russian about WW2 which was Russia produced and most of it is Sunny Paaji or Canada Kapoor type cheezy jingoistic shit coming out of govt. sponsored production houses.

I think you are waay overestimating Ind vs pak dynamic in western media vis a vis Israel vs ME. No one will question the israeli presser, but will do the same for India.

I'm not saying they need to do it right away, but do release info as and when they can. If things did crash (and it seems they did, although only convincing proof is looking almost a perfect match for crashed JF17) then give full picture as and when available. If nothing crashed say that too.

Even if an aircraft has crashed as you stated earlier, the IAF will have to do its due diligence before conducting a press conference. The IAF will need accurate information regarding the origin of the aircraft, how it came down etc. You need time and seriousness to collect information and then present it in an articulate manner. I guess in each profession, true professionals take time to come up with valid conclusions.

On a serious note, Pakistan's response would have to be excruciating for us to back out now.
If they deescalate by claiming victory off of something minor, that's a whole nother story. This is what I'm expecting will happen. Pukies are dumb animals. They will lap up the bs their military feeds them (like a downed drone) and frame it's picture and kiss it goodnight every day and pretend like they are the winners of this conflict.
If it does happen to be something major, they'll have to face the Indian war machine at it's peak capacity.
Poor sods.

Honestly, taking Taliban into confidence and letting them start laying their claim to Attock wouldn't be a bad idea.
