Thats the thing man we have people but no one is willing to put money into core engineering fields and R&D in this country. I am speaking this from my experience as a pre final year student in one of the most premier engineering institutes of this country (in the top 5 NITs ) being a student in electrical engineering you will find that most of our peeps are focused on DSA and projects to land a decent package coolie job in a IT firm myself included (about 80 percent placements in electrical and ece happens the software domain about 60 percent in mechanical and chemical and other core engineering fields the same goes for all the other premier institutes) and you cant blame us. Most of us come from normal working class middle income families and carry hopes of our parents so the first priority is to get a decent placement and a good package which the IT firms provide. The core engineering firms visiting for campus placements lack in both numbers and lucrative package amount. Eg: L&T visited for hiring the final years offered sub 6lpa package . This comes from one of the leading private players of our industrial complex , most who are very interested in core are planning to complete their masters or phd internationally, so how can you accept your core R&D and industrial prowess to progress when you are loosing the top tier core engineers who either end up becoming just another IT worker or leaving the country. If the options available in our respective core domains were good enought who the f*ck in there right mind would study both core electrical to pass exams and CSE to get placed. So money needs to be poured and spent to build industrial capability, to build actual core engineering skills instead of just making up and propping service based it firms , or having an Indian version of lockheed would end up just being a pipe dream. Make in India shouldn't just be restricted to just assembly or manufacturing of products in the country it should be about developing industries from ground up.

As you are from one of the top nit u would have much clearer picture our the placement scenario and conditions
But if u want to their part then things would be different

Let's keep aside the chidigiri and all those stuff which we are famous for
But if look at the core branches, take for example ECE tell me how many institutes teach them VHDL or Verilog how many of them teach fgpa practically how many of them teach Arduino or any sort of microcontroller how many of them teach them embedded C(industrial level)
Skill set required for ECE related jobs are far more than these

But I am sure these things would be taught in top iits nits bits and state govt clgs but still they are offered very less salary and even the companies don't come in numbers
Bcoz skill set and knowledge required to work in such niche industry is way too high and not possible for a btech grad to fulfill it

Moreover coding skills are easily accessible and cheap in compare to others and those skills have market demand
But as we can see current situation where tech industry is facing serious shift in their operations things aren't good there too
Myself being an ECE student trying to monkey balance btw coding and electronics related stuffs finding very difficult to do better in either of the field

All in all everyone needs to upgrade their game pvt cos need to invest in rnd and avoid chindigiri but even clgs need to upgrade their syllabus and teaching methodology with present scenario

Sindhis are RIOTING and KILLING Pakjabi Police and Ministers at will using AK-47!!! Pakjabis are planning 6 DAMS/CANALS for Pakjab and not give adequate water to Sindh/Balochistan countries. Basically Pakjabis want to teach a lesson to Sindhi/Baloch as they did to Banglu Kanglus of 1970's.

Not to mention how Baloch are fighting the Pakjabis.

India SHOULD be ready and make sure to achieve long term STRATEGIC GOALS!

If they want to do something produtive, ask them to volunteer time and organize themselves to go dig an alternate river connecting chenab, ravi & satluj and bring it to rajasthan.
THAT would be more productive than simmering around for war-lust. because the reality is, we do not have UNSC veto to block UN resolutions.

So if THEY can be choded outta existence, anyone who isnt UNSC veto member can.

Our parameters of war are fundamentally dicated by THIS reality,not operational reality or strategic reality: our main calculus is what can we do currently before world goes 'ENOUGH' and we must stop.
Indians need to realize this and cope and seethe or work a solution, but this is the FINAL frame of war we are boxed into.

By the way, the reason i keep bringing up this UNSC+UNGA chudaai angle, is not to pooh-pooh indian fate, but to bring clarity to it.
Inorder to have good strategic vision, one must accept strategic realities.
Strategic reality is, until we get UNSC veto power- which is highly unlikely, as we wont even clear UNGA, let alone bypass all 5 vetos on UNSC- we cannot go fuck over a country the world doesnt want to see fucked over- not in conventional military terms.

So therefore, what we need to do, is asymetric wafare- break Pakistan from within by fanning the flames, infiltration, etc etc- do to THEM what they keep trying to do to us and failing - break their nation from within.
In THIS angle, if we have clarity of vision, koi- maai ka laal cannot prevent the breaking of Pakistan - uncle, chinkle, all the world can do is stare in dismay if there is full scale civil war in pakistan - max the world will do is confiscate its nukes - HOORAY !

And since we cannot do conventional uncle sam or raashia style 'knock knock - FUCK YOU' war, we have to look at our conventional forces from a playing defence sense. whether its offensive defence or defence
defence, our conventional posture mostly has to remain defensive.

And in this, as lord Krishna said - patience, vats. Patience. I think we have been playing this angle for the last 5-10 years max, but to break a country from within, takes time. Give us 25 years - which means another 15 years from this 'strategic shift' and Pakistan ke tukre tukre ho jayengee and we will be the tukre tukre gang.

Dont know much about ECE since I am from electrical but 8051 with C was taught to us as an elective course, though the main problem isnt about the curriculum its mainly about there being offers that attract students so that students start wanting to go towards their core domains, lets be honest most of us btech students dont learn much from the classes anyways most of the professors lack in skill even in premier institutes thats the ground reality pdfs and youtube is our saviour for exams moreover everything basic a company can demand during placements can be learned using youtube or other materials. So it ultimately depends upon the pay $$ if the pay is high students will opt it more and put efforts towards that field.

I saw the world media and no we haven’t lost media war.
Yes people don’t care much about india or porky but who ever know about us. They are sure we won war and they support us against their invasion.
 
I believe the plan underway is to reduce Pakistan to Punjab-sindhistan and go forward from there towards how to get back PoK after that or during the formation of Punjab-Sindhistan. Balochistan is already on fire and it was critical error of Pakjabis to make enemies outta the Baloch,because its a vast and rugged land and making enemies of natives of vast and rugged land is best way to lose said vast and rugged land over long term. We can keep fanning the flames and turn it into a raging fire if we can come to a direct understanding with IRAN to carve Balochistan outta Pakistan.

As for Khyber-Pakhtunkwa- itsa more complicated- Pathan loyalty to state of Pakistan is more clan and region based than anything - for eg Niazi, Afridi, etc Pathans are loyal to Pakjabistan. Ie, the peshawar valley & mountains to its south are loyal strongholds of the Paki govt. The pasthun belt north to it- Dir, Buner, Swat- etc are basically apathetic and left mostly alone to their devices but the belt of pathans from Kurram river valley south onwards- all the way to Balochistan and Quetta region- this is the region on fire and under the Pakjabi boot and seething. Well we all know outcome of Pathans going angry at their rulers- like when they did against mughals even, so that too, give it time.

So far, the Pathan-on-Pathan violence has been minimal from what i can tell, as its Pakjabi army deployed in Balochistan+Fata and the loyal pathans of PAK army are mostly sitting around in kashmir frontier. Thats how the region has been managed so far, but unless the pathan situation falls down to pathan-on-pathan clan based violence, there is no chance of Pakistan salvaging the situation in their borderlands with Afghanistan. Only Peshawar valley and dir-buner-swat pathan are the ones they can count on - they are also a sizeablepart of the pathan population, since this is the most densely populated part of the pashtun world. But its definitely also going south for Pakistan state in the entire region south of Kurram valley - and that is a significant chunk of Pakistan going bye-bye in the next 10-15 years.

Once Pakistan is fragmented, then we must not make the stratgic mistake of 'keep managing the fragments and play them off of each other to keep our asses safe' like Vijanagar did and figure out a way to make the Indus+khyber the hard frontier for hindustan.

It's all about pay
And it's true u can get through clg interviews through utube as that's the only way we escape from pathetic profs but core industry won't work like that

Even though u clear the interview but that doesn't make u suitable to do their critical jobs
For that they need to train you and teach essential things
Its just like mass recruitments by infosys wipro tcs
Where they teach things at bare minimum pay then conduct tests and evaluations after that they either they remove you or they give you certain hike
After that it's upto u how u shape ur career
Same is the case here in core companies when they hire undergrad but here they mostly retain with no salary hikes irrespective of any clg but there are few exceptions though

India should seize this opportunity and do outreach to Sindhis and even Saraikis - push them to start/resume their own movements along with the Baloch and Pashtuns, and make sure they want for nothing (would be very easy since both of these regions directly border India). India could quite easily make alternative arrangements to supply their rightful share of river-waters to them while circumventing North Punjab. North Punjab/Fauji Foundation will never give them their proper due of anything.

Absolutely, one more idea whose time has come. Not to mention, Taiwan is a very valuable partner as far as technology, cyberwarfare and intelligence (they're essentially the same people as China) domains are concerned. In fact, even though some of the countries in the region including Taiwan are nominally under the US missile & nuclear shield - I still think India should propose sharing cruise missile, ballistic missile, and nuclear weapons technology with them and proliferate such weapons in the region, in response to China giving Pakistan ballistic missile and nuclear weapons technology decades ago. Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam would be a solid start.

And while on the topic - some people, who rake up that super-old map with ROC territorial claims also need to realize that it's pretty much irrelevant and meaningless now in this day and age for all practical purposes. That's not a reason to slow down or mess up relations with Taiwan.
