Completely wrong analysis. If AWACS was considered so vital, the armed forces would have bought a few off the shelf. India does not feel the need for AWACS for Pakistan probably because they already have complete radar coverage through other means such as satellites, P8i platforms, overlapping ground radars etc. IAF would not have flown without being assured that there was enough air space visibility despite jamming efforts. If India can spend $3-4 billion dollars to purchase MQ9B predators, buying a few stop gap AWACS is nothing. The reality is need for AWACS is not being felt.

If IAF has no need what is the point of 12 Netra AWACS 1a and Mk2

They are not willing to commit suicide by nuke. This has been made plainly obvious by India. And a big win for India.

What India should do next is confidently put out its battle losses, lay out its claims on what PAF asset losses it inflicted (take your pick: Junkfighters, Erieye(s), C130H, F-16s in the hangar, Mirage V, etc.), and dismiss the cause as attacker's disadvantage. Even in pure monetary terms, IAF inflicted more air asset losses on the paki side than they inflicted ours.

And these are just air assets, doesn't include the assets we destroyed as part of SEAD/DEAD.
