Operation Sindoor and Aftermath

Mail-SPL-468-X60-2x

The Report is most likely true since yesterday Shiv Aroor said 9 PAF aircraft destroyed atleast (he said he was brief by IAF personnel), as in this report 6 PAF fighters are reportedly shot in air by SAMs, 2 Awacs (1 in air and 1 in ground) and 1 C130, there was more jets destroyed in the hangers too (likely F16) but IAF is not sure how many. But I want to ask if any of 6 PAF jets down were destroyed with Air to Air missiles? A few days back i saw someone mentioned Meteor kill

GoI it's various arms including our security managers seem to forget that while Paxtan is but a distraction it serves the purpose of sharpening our skills doctrines tactics & strategy across multiple dimensions for the ultimate test - China.

You'd get a second or third or fourth if not multiple chances against them for after all they're our brother in arms . Pun unintended.

You're not going to get second chances with the Chinese.

Our establishment by choosing to field the CDS for a convention in Singapore before releasing a comprehensive report on the entire campaign inclusive of wins losses lessons learnt etc is putting the cart before the horse.

Apparently it is understood that the CDS was fielded before the foreign media coz the JCoS from Paxtan was there & the Chinese Defence Minister was expected there which would've meant multiple interviews to these outlets.

The Indian CDS refusing interviews to the foreign media would appear churlish & cowardly . Hence the multiple interviews

My position is very simple - weren't the security establishment aware of the Shangri-La Conference or was there some confusion about who was to represent us there?

If the CDS was chosen at the last minute wasn't it a given he'd have to face the international media ? Why wasn't the report timed to come out with his departure to Singapore ?

Why aren't all these things co ordinated ? By bringing out the report now it seems more like rationalisation if not a fait accompli & not does not possess the tone or tenor or the strut of a successful side.

Unfortunately , we still haven't learnt to act like we've won even when we've won .

Army babus r as clueless as Govt babus regarding narrative war…
Lack of shatrubodh …

Both r elites and have little sense what paki inbred jihadi subhuman is.. hence sem2sem statement by CDS

6 PAF fighters lost is a bit surprisingly low - looking back at the sort of indications there were during the conflict, and even Shiv Aroor claiming recently that he was briefed by IAF about at least 9. Since it says, "in IAF retaliation" - does it mean that maybe this figure doesn't include PAF aircraft shot down by Indian SAM's & CAP's earlier, but only those aircraft lost on the ground in the PAF bases which were hit? There's also no specific mention of any AWACS here when we almost certainly destroyed a couple.

It appears that the GOI lacks a clear understanding of information warfare. The Indian Armed Forces achieved a decisive, one-sided victory, yet the GOI's missteps have turned this triumph into a stalemate in the international media.
When the Armed Forces brought Pakistan to its knees in just four days, it was the GOI's responsibility to amplify this success on international forums and the media. However, it seems they have not yet learned from this experience.

No you are mistaken, the report says 6 PAF jets are lost in air, plus 2 High value assets (AWACS) one in air and one on ground, 1 c130 on ground which is consistent with Shiv Aroor 9 Aircraft claims (he didnot said jets only). The ANI report also claims there were a unspecified number of PAF jets destroyed on ground which cannot be counted exactly as Pakistan conceled the hangers and satellite image is not out yet.

I'm going off of the numbers mentioned in the ANI tweet you quoted just a few comments back. Unless the report that's linked includes specific details of more, all I saw was "6 fighter jets, one C-130, cruise missiles and UAVs destroyed during retaliation" - if there's more in the report, that's poor headline/tweet writing by ANI, but I'm glad to hear the score is higher.

Based on the details/updates of the time, my expectations were closer to a grand total of somewhere between 10-20 aircraft in combined SAM + CAP shoot-downs and missile strikes on PAF airbases.

Check the ANI report out, I have attached,

PAF losses:

In Air:
1 AWACS, 6 Jets ( likely 1 Mirage III or V, 2 JF17s, 2 F16s, 1 J10C (my estimate since they were used a lot))
Other than J10C (my estimate) other jets are almost certain
Mostly SAM kills by S400, Akash and 1/2 possible air to air kills by Meteor/R77-1

On Ground:
1 AWACS, 1 C130, 4 F16 (based on earlier reports), Multiple Wingloong drones

Total PAF losses: 13 Aircrafts or more + multiple armed UAVs .
That's huge loss!! Worth 4-5 Billon dollars for sure

Hopefully some footage or even images are released. The moral blow to the paki quom will be devastating. We're doing rr here over a single Rafale crashing. pakis will straight up start eating each other in social media.

Honestly, how are we going to show that we shot down ? Do you guyz have any leaks like did we record , the combat footage from our jets or do we show radar readings. We won't have the debris as told by air Marshal due to many of them being shot down on other side of border or did we found some after the last presser.
