I'd just buy 4 squadrons of Rafale( 72 planes ) as a ((( stop gap ))), and put the Super Sukhoi, AMCA and tejas mk2 programs on full speed

For Super Sukhoi if we need to import radars etc then that also should be done, but our rudram, astra should be well integrated

atleast 7-8 more netra awacs need to be purchased.

Remember that two Su-30MKI had dodged a min of AIM-120C5 during Op Swift Retreat in 2019.

Sukhoi aircrews train extensively in BVRAAM evasion tactics. Whatever was learnt on 27th Feb 19 has been institutionalised and is now a part of the air to air combat curriculum.

Besides, a Su-30MKI is a very manoeuvrable aircraft with lots and lots of agility and if the pilot knows the rough direction from which the hostile bvraam is coming, he can position himself/herself suitably and execute certain maneuvers that can deplete the incoming missile's energy and always staying out of its nez.

Besides, our jets dodged and defeated more than 100 PL-15 during the intervening night of 6-7th May. 100 is a conservative no. It's more than that. The PAF J-10CP, JF17 and F-16 kept on launching BVRAAM at us in order to score kills and also to force us to go cold and thus deny us the opportunity to release our air to ground payloads- standoff munitions and missiles.
