They would be disappointed then. Our air defenses are not switched on during peace time especially the radars. We have different kind of radars swtiched on during peace time if I am right. You don't want to give out your electronic signatures during peace time.

RADARs are deployed in two different roles:
1. MONITORING: RADARs deployed in this role act as sensors and alarms.
2. GUIDANCE: RADARs deployed in this role are used to guide a missile to its target, e.g., MRSAM. Older fighter aircrafts such as Mig-21s are also guided by these RADARs.

RADARs that fall in the category 1, are numerous and are active at all times. RADARs that fall in the category 2 are activated on as needed basis. RADARs in category 1 are responsible for delegating a given task to RADARs in category 2. This actually is the nutshell of what is called integrated air defense system.
