It was always a counter terrorist operation. We increased our base response this time. Its all about proportionality. Thats how it works. Now if pakis do the terror operations again we will do what uncle sam used to do to them in 2010s. We will start bombing their terror hideouts all around the year. Our briefing clearly hinted at it. It was not merely a revenge strike for Pahalgam. It was a counter terrorist operation.

What you are asking is brain dead and tribal. Civil Societies don't work like that. If we follow your line of reasoning it will mean we will have to cleanse Kashmir valley. But can we really? No, We can't. There is something called rule of law.
