Nope all our contested loses (3 in total) were due to SAMs.. even USAF with their 4th gen aircrafts can't dodge multiple volley of long range strategic SAMs flying towards there target in high mach no.. remember HQ9b has a passive infrared seeker to support it's SARH seeker which make it's very deadly..

Nd losing even rafale means no morale impact..It can to us in uninformed civilians who don't hv iota of understanding of an armed forces soldier psyche

For a soldeir it's just a tool of war.. he employed it during war.. he lost it during war..

Whenever armed forces launches an attack of this humongous scale it already takes account for worst case scenario of men nd material loses..

IAF this time was fighting with it's one hand tied to it's back.. where it was advised to only target terrorist infrastructure instead of military infrastructure.. had IAF was fighting a full blown war then they would hv decimated PAF long range ADS before employing an attack of this spectrum..

IAF was given a task to decimate terrorist infrastructure deep inside paxtan heartland.. which they did with huge success even while facing multiple threats of long range ADS nd PL15E launched at them.

Now IAF is in defensive mode fully prepared to attack any PAF aircraft with our S400 long range ADS nd meteor missiles which is even deadlier then whatever PAF employed against it.

Loss of a fighter jet matters. Jets like Rafale are 100 USD 100 million. The entire terror infrastructure destroyed last night will still be less than the total cost of missiles we used let alone a Single Rafale jet.
Cost vs Cost if we lose mich more money than Pakistan does, we are not winning. We cant win a war if every time we attack we loose our jets/ships. Ground vehicles are a different thing.

In an actual war the losses would be higher. Entire battalions would get wiped. We should go back to the UPA days of playing dossier dossier if we do not have the stomach to digest simple losses.

And above all, there is no official confirmation of a crash as of yet. Heck, handles of some Indian embassies have even debunked such claims.
