Qrsam is short range. It is to protect indian army if they enter inside pakistan. We are not developing any equivalent to S400 as of now

1. QR SAM is for covering strike formations. It's a short to medium range SAM with capabilities of quick reaction and fire on the move. It's altitude coverage is not as high as Akash or even older Pechoras IMHO.

2. India is investing heavily in Project Kusha, to replace /augment S400. That will have 120kms to 400 kms ranges interceptors.

Thats exactly what i said, with a minor correction. Project kusha/xr sam will only complement s400, not replace it. The max range of xr sam version 3 will be 350 km, still 50 km lesser than s400
