Operation Sindoor

OPERATION SINDHOOR ZINDABAD!

Folks, Yesterday (that is the 7th of May when Operation Sindhoor was carried out) I heard a lot of fireworks going off in and around my residence throughout the day and up until late evening. Also I think I saw some leftover remains of used up fireworks at the playground in my ancestral village.:daru::drum:

What was the occasion? I don't know.
Maybe there was some function going on like a wedding? Or maybe people were celebrating Operation Sindhoor in Goa! It has to be!
We Goans are proud of our Indian military for carrying out this operation. :military::yo:
I still remember when I woke up to the news of Operation Sindhoor and I was so happy that I screamed "Bharat Mata ki Jai!" "Jai Hind!" Loudly at the top of my lungs! :indian-flag:

I wanted to order a Chicken Biryani yesterday to mark the occasion. Looks like I will have to postpone the Chicken Biryani treat to some other day. Will post the photos if I can, I know some really good restaurants close by where they sell very delicious chicken Biryani. :peace: :truestory:

Can someone please summarize everything that has happened since last night.
From ChatGPT:

1. Multiple Blasts & Attacks in Pakistan:

  • Unconfirmed but widely reported blasts occurred across multiple Pakistani cities including:
    • Rawalpindi
    • Karachi
    • Lahore
    • Peshawar
  • Targets appeared to include military convoys, police stations, and key infrastructure.
  • Some reports suggest coordinated IED attacks and gunfire exchanges, though Pakistan's official channels have remained largely silent or dismissive.

2. Power Grid Disruptions:

  • Parts of Punjab and Sindh provinces experienced power outages, speculated to be either the result of sabotage or emergency shutoffs.
  • Social media reports suggested communication blackouts in some regions.

3. Panic & Misinformation:

  • Pakistani Twitter/X space was flooded with unverified images and videos showing smoke plumes, troop movements, and alleged "attacks by Indian operatives."
  • Panic spread among civilians, with local police and Rangers deployed in several urban centers.
  • Pakistani media, under apparent pressure, downplayed or ignored most incidents.

Pak fired missiles at Amritsar ، no damage done as s 400 intercepted

Yeah , last night saw a video on twitter .. paki was filming a lunch near islamabad and said 3 ballistic missiles have been fired .. This morning saw video of wreckage of some missiles in panjab .. then video of air defence lunching missile from panjab . Here comes the self-stroker no 7.

Few days back he was abusing Modi for not attacking fast enough.
Now that the attacks have happened & the situation is fluid, he finds some other excuse to attack.

Bottom line, some self-stroking vultures have only one agenda, that's political and it's only to demean BJP and Modi.

You can smell the shit folks like this self-stroker have been spreading on these forums for couple of weeks now.

Hey self-stroker, here is some bad news for you.
Modi is going to win Bihar this year, Tamil Nadu next year and 2029 LS elections as well.

Your post sounds as if you are absolutely pissed that Pakis got new holes. The saltiness and rage in your voice is betraying the mask you are wearing.

Instead of spreading this shit, you should suggest your side to do some useful things than liking the shit off Pakis soiled pants.
Good response to

Thee over confident "I know it all" idiot.

Sindh is a desert area no need to mobilise and stand in front of IB. Huge flat lands on both sides can be seen from miles so the troops are not forward located. In Tarpakar and Amerkot Pakis are deep located near to these towns ( there is a hill like terrain ) defending so we ingressed easily in 71.

Reminded me to gather some data.

In Sindh Province (where 9% of the population are Hindus):

Tando Allahyar District = 60% Hindus.

Umerkot District = 55% Hindus.

Tharparkar District = 45% Hindus.

Mirpur Khas District = 40% Hindus.

Badin District = 25% Hindus.

Tando Muhammad Khan District = 25% Hindus.

Sanghar District = 25% Hindus.

Very very bad times for pakis ahead.
The best part is we just singed an FTA with UK, with 15 Pakistani origin MPs in Starmer govt :ROFLMAO:

We will sign more FTAs with EU, US this year, grow our economy to 10+ trillion, this mofos will be nowhere near our budget in the next 10 years with their basket case economy.

Senior or more experienced members feel free to correct me.

Strategically, after our statement yesterday I had three assumptions:
A) We would not want to escalate more (On the basis our statements)
B) But we would ensure complete escalation if any bases/civillians would be hurt.
C) While Pak would like to respond they are unsure of the success of the attack and dont have places to target without escalating, which again backfires for them.

My hypothesis was that Pakistan would do an Iran by informing through other parties where they will attack and in return India choosing to show that Pakistan could not carry out a proper strike at the level of Operation Sindoor.

However, seeing India using Drones today morning (in retalation for a failed missile attack in Punjab) and the fact that there have been very mixed signals from Pakistan, there might be a growing feeling in Rasina Hill that the Pakistan Military might have been over estimated and that we could potentially have a golden opportunity to inflict a huge blow.

So basically, todays morning drones might be a way to push them to basically attack properly?

Again. I might be wrong so I apologise if my amateur stategic thinking is a waste of time!

fair questions.

yes, GoI does not want to escalate. they have made it clear in 2019 and 2025 post op official communication.
yes, but escalate is not the right word. forces will respond if they see an event unfolding as a threat.

GoI and Forces have a core mandate to protect/defend sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation. what ever happens, will flow from this core mandate.

any military equipment, forces use will be within the above mentioned core mandate.

one can still read op sindoor as a defensive measure to deter the opposing side from taking up future actions(both terrorist and military) against India.

what we are seeing now, is a continuum of statement of intent from 2016 surgical strikes, 2019 balakot strikes, that is expanding the envelope of deterrence by raising costs for pak security establishment.

as of now, i have no firm opinions on what pakis are likely to do.

Hq 16 air defence munition . Probably engaged our drones ..

Baiting their AD to engage our expendable drones and them launching their multi-million dollar missile to intercept, not a bad deal for us.

Radars, missiles and launchers are critical assets for them.
Destroy radar, they can't engage.
Destroy launcher, they don't have a platform to use their missiles.
Make them spend their missiles, toothless.

And if they turn-off their AD systems to protect them, then our drones can perform missions without any challenge. Overall, playing defence is going to be very expensive for them
(both financially and morale wise).
