Pakis want to deescalate with a face saver. Last night, they tried hitting our airbases. Those are where the IACCS is the strongest. Hence the attacks failed.

Tonight or tomorrow night, they will try to attack token targets at points where our IACCS is the weakest. Their loiter munitions will be able to get past our IACCS at its weaker points.

What weak points?
ADGMS, AAA or C-UAS are point defence systems. We can't defend every inch of Indian border with them. SAM, which are area defence systems, won't be efficient against drone swarms. EW might be our only defence against Paki drones hitting random stuff lower in the AD priority on our side. Like maybe some small bridge or culvert or some small substation.

This might be what Pakis will hit in order to do sem2sem infront of their awaam that we also hit India. This might be the bare minimum for a face saver

This is basically what they did after Balakot strikes, dropped some bombs in an empty field and ran back. Unfortunately, our pilot chased and got shot down. We came under US pressure and deescalated as they returned our pilot.

It would be foolish to deescalate now that we have their AD down and morale down from their failed attacks.

Our planning seems to be through. This has been done in advance and not just 15 days post Pahalgam.

Hope we are 'forced' to retailiate disproportionately.

I think GoI has finally understood the importance of indigenous arty even if it might need some hand holding by the IA unlike the ones which we purchase. My personal opinion is that, this intensity of war (shelling and occasional drone/missile strikes) will continue for much longer than expected but... escalation can only be affordable and sustainable when China will invade Taiwan sometime in 2027 (something that the Americans believe will happen, it's also a deadline that Jinping set up a few years ago AFAIK). That will be the moment when all these conflicts in Russia-Ukraine/NATO, Israel-Palestine/Iran, Saudi-Houthi and now India-Pakistan will converge into World War 3. The next 5 years is very crucial for defense procurement and manufacturing and the GoI does not want to get caught sleeping. I expect a lot of defense projects to get fast-tracked now.

Porkis don't have the luxury of massive retaliation. Even in 2019 their retaliation was measured dropping H-4 guided bombs on our assets which surprisingly did not hit anything. Any retaliation they plan have to take into account how many missiles they expend in their mission. Apart from small arms every defense system is 100% imported. If they expend most of their stocks they would be sitting ducks. They can't fire a volley of missiles and not have anything to defend in case we retaliate with massive force.

Even their artillery shells stocks are limited having sold lot of them to Ukraine for dollars by their generals. They will be absolutely fucked if they fire short/medium/long range missiles on our territory. One member pointed out the reason they may not have engaged our drones with HQ9 system is their location would be spotted. That may be one reason but if they would have fired at our drones then they will be having lesser stock SAMs in their HQ9 system. Those missiles are not Pizzas to be instantly delivered by China at short notice. Basically they have to ration their high value weapons and selectively target our assets.
