Anyone who thinks Pakistanis will de-escalate is not seeing reality.

For pakis logic doesn't matter.
In the current geopolitical scenario and with an economy that is on the verge of collapse, the Pehelgam attack made no sense strategically other than to antagonize Hindus. They are very emotional they believe that by the grace of allah a single paki men or momin (Meat eating lion) will defeat 10 kafirs(grass eating hindu bania).
Their superiority complex and hatred for Hindus will not allow them to see reality and accept defeat (even a small one). Their ego has been hurt, and they will gladly go to any limit to satisfy their ego.
If you read Pakistani government statements, Pakistan has yet to respond to missile attacks.
Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan will respond to India in the next few days.
Pakistan will try to do something seriously big before any serious attempt at deescalation.
(Everyone should keep a ration for two-three months at home because I am not seeing any cooldown.)
