Operation Sindoor

Fuel and cheap weapons can be thrown in by the likes of China, Turkey etc.

I don't agree with this approach of just waiting to get hit.

Why don't we send out drones as well like we did earlier?

And where will Fuel and cheap weapons come in? You think they can run 100's of airlift operations to supply fuel and cheap weapons? Turkey which is far away wouldn't be doing shit. Fuel can only be sent from the sea. With air cargo they can send limited number of weapons. Don't make points without proper analysis. It just doesn't make sense.

What is the strategy of our armed forces? We cannot exhaust our SAM batteries. We need to open another front or we retaliate massively. Yesterday we played defense and I cannot accept if we play defense today as well. I have faith that today tri services have a plan to hit massively inside Porkistan.

I hope moderators here keep an eye on this thread. Do not allow posts like yesterday. It is important we allow posts from verified sources. Delete one liners. Delete any posts which compromises our national security or provides enemies propaganda material.

This is a distraction. The real attack will come somewhere else. Most probably, our ports and refineries.
These attacks are mostly meant to create public unease/panic.

Guys whatever is happening let's not try to report first
We all know psyops going on but we should know the reality let's not post any thing we feel juicy from Indian news handles or any RW handles
Let's be legitimate and maintain forum's reliability

After yesterday, that's what all of us are wondering. If we don't start attacking their military installations, including air bases, we are making a huge mistake.

Hope to be proven wrong. You can't keep avoiding war.

The only appropriate counter response is to deplete their conventional non replaceable assets like jets, ships, artillery and infrastructure like ammo depots and warehouses

I thought that was the what drone attacks on their cities was about, start of SEAD. But as far as we know, there was no followup.

I agree we should start degrading their war capability already, Modi mixing
politics with war . If he is giving a free hand to the military let them go on the
offensive. If there is a naval blockade supplies cannot be replenished so easily.

At the very least we need to start hitting their air bases across the board. PAF is the only strength they have and if they try to use it, S400 and the like should be in play.

Well i was right about Pakistan not backing down. Credit where its due they will do this shit till they can claim a strong PR victory or their deluded generals feel they have established a deterrence or 1 uped the Indians.

India i believe is taking the wrong approach now we always start of strong but for some reason choke later. We should be targeting their launchpads their bases and their aircraft rather than being on the defensive in my personal opinion.

Maybe we might go on the offence lets see.

If can understand it's a wrong approach, obviously our forces do. We don't know what the equation between then and the political leadership is. Have they really been given a free hand?

Part #1 : Air Defence

Another strategic benefit of limited conflicts like this is that it allows us to test our systems. Will try to take a stab at what was tested, what went well etc. in a series of 4-5 posts.

The following AD systems we have have proven themselves beyond doubt now:

1. AD Guns - Post Gulf War, there was a pattern of dissing the gun and going for SAMs. That trend has effectively reversed with Nagano Karabakh conflict and then Ukraine -Russia conflict. Looks like we did analyse and learn from these.
Our AD Guns (1) Bofors L70, (2) Twin barrel ZSU 23 (3) Self propelled Schilka and (4) Self propelled Tunguska have proven themselves now.
Note that I am not quoting L&T Sudarshan here as I don't know how many have been delivered(if any).

2. Our OptoElectronics detection systems - Most of the AD Guns have been upgraded with Indian Opto-Electronics systems. These proved themselves beyond doubt over the last 2 days and nights in detecting small size-low flying drones and cruise missiles.

3. Short range radars - proved beyond doubt that Radars to which the AD Guns are slaved have impeccable detection and guidance capabilities

4. Akash - Our boy has proven itself. From all the news coming in, it has slam-dunked the whole enemy barrage of drones, missiles and fighters. Note that Akash was supposed to have limited BMD capabilities as well which were debated in the forums long time back. What will warm my coffee even more is if it has indeed intercepted one in this round of hostilities.

5. SpyDer - Assuming J&K cities and establishments were attached, SpyDer has possibly worked the way we expected Israeli stuff to work.

6. SAMAR - IAF BRDs will get a good fillup as their jugaad also rose to the occasion.

7. MRSAM - little news but given that it was deployed for area defence in the sector, it has possibly played a role in long range intercepts or mission-kill.

8. S400 - the much maligned Russian giant has redeemed itself in Indian hands. No doubt it performed and there are already talks of it killing a HVT.

9. IACCS - Again our baby the By God, it has worked the way I never expected it to ( more due to lack of knowledge about what and how it works). The datalinking from multiple sources, handoff between guns and missiles, the target designation etc were possibly battle tested for the first time.
Seeing IACCS in action was like watching Matrix movie the first time and getting your mind bent. I am now expecting v2.0 of IACCS basis learnings which will be more deadly.

10. The human in the loop - our AD soldiers : stellar conduct and superhero type performance. The training they are having is world class. Whatever they are eating, I want some of that man!

2 things are taking place simultaneously
1) They want to saturate our AD and then push aircrafts for larger damage while finding loopholes in akshateer

2) They want our focus diverted to jammu from Rajasthan Gujrat and Punjab

A Turkish cargo plane landed in Pakistan some time ago with possible loitering munitions, SOWs and possibly AD systems.

Seems like my hunch was right. The Turkey cargo plane was for replenishment of drone and loitering munitions.

We should ban Turkish companies from operating in India and cancel visas to Turkey.

we don't need to jump to the big guns so quickly. Let's reserve it for high value targets
not these cheap plastic quadcopters with firecrackers?
