Cowards fire at DMax (~120-140 km) and run away, praying one of them hits. That's why you see so many PL-15s lying around.

But in face-to-face WVR fight or anything < 100 km IAF should have an upper hand.

thats why we should buy one r37 M bvr missiles for every su 30 mki. untill astra mark 3 come in picture. currently we r not making any R37 M type long range bvr missiles for AWACS nd tankers etc. already R37 M kills some aircraft (f16, su27 etc) near 200+ km range in russia. even if they cant shoot aircraft from that range, they can definitely kill AWACS etc big aircrafts for sure. but we dont think about future, mostly care about present.

There should be heavy fire from indian side now.
Remmember retaliatory measure are of no use now a new huge offensive from indian side is needed to assure the detterance again as whatever strikes by india done yet have no impact on their defence capability.

R37 M are already with India doesnt work for agile targets and even for AWACS unless they are cruising at 30000 feet no point hitting them at DMAX .. paki awacs rarely go that up…

Any way we have got 3 PAF kills on 8/9 May by BVRs well inside paki border…
