Israelis have moved to Barak MX some time back. They don't market Barak-8 any more. Whether there's an active productional line in Israel for this missile isn't known.

Only NCR has BMD for now.

Barak-8 as the name suggests is a MRSAM. It's not a short range AD.

You must be new to all this.

Can we get a summary of what happened during the night? So, we don't have to go through multiple pages on this thread? Thank you!
Right, so, members should stop treating the forum like grok/chatgpt. Every member has valuable things to contribute.

Members need to stop entertaining these "summarise like chatgpt" sort of requests.

A couple of Banshee drone wreckages have been found in Punjab, although according to Wiki neither us nor Pak uses them (Turkey although does use it). And its a Targeting drone so it probably also has the radar signature of a fighter aircraft so that it can take SAM hits on itself.
Can someone provide more clarity on this

We have also used Banshee drones in our strikes against Pak AD units yesterday.

I have the pics.

We have used the jet engines powered variant.

Note that there aren't any bullet holes and shrapnel marks on the drone. Meaning Pakis didn't shoot it down. It dived straight into the field after running out of fuel.

He can't tell the difference between a Qrsam and Akash NG.

He isn't an air defence expert like Sameer Joshi and some others.

Besides, there hasn't been any procurement of additional MRSAM rounds for the IAF barring the initial lot. Navy have bought LRSAM missiles quite a few times.

Indian Army has 2 MRSAM regiments operational now.

And the most important thing is there is a long lead time for items like this. It's not that you order 100 missiles today and BEL BDL start making the missiles from next month. It takes some time. So it's always preferable to have good stocks.

IAF only has 9 squadrons of MRSAM. Each has 2 flights of 3 Missile launch units. So theres a total of just 54 MRSAM launchers with IAF.

Fortunately IA regiments have at least twice the no of launchers than an IAF squadron.
