Operation Sindoor

I also think the same that there will deescalation from this point but remember India is an elephant . In colloquial Hindi we say elephant has two teeth one for show (tusk) and others for eating
MEA is the tusk which talks of deescalation and regular teeth are the defence, until Modi says it's over it's not over

One more thing is that this could be a longer war than we expect , it will be warm for days and sudden hot moments and then warm again ..this is what I feel could happen from here , like operation meghdoot , sindoor is here to stay

@Azaad saar, seems like your plan is fructifying, PAF bases being hit, maybe their jets in hangar also

Only thing that remains is the PN getting a taste of many Brahmos :troll:
My wish was for something high up on the escalatory ladder namely the partial destruction of the PAF especially their platforms reducing our targeting their ground based assets only to what's mandatory viz ADS , ATC , etc & near full destruction of the PN.

We're nowhere close to my wish list. To quote you & other millenials plus Gen Z out here , we're still in Buddh not Yuddh mode as in we're still in non escalatory mode irrespective PAF & Fauji Foundation tried their best to target our assets .

They failed & we refused to retaliate in kind much like we didn't for Operation Swift Retort punishing them for intent rather than the damages they inflicted which on the ground even then was not happening.

That's the salient lesson we ought to take from this operation , Operation Sindoor.

Does that mean we didn't inflict damage or that our operations were ineffective ? No , far from it , we've demonstrated intent , capabilities & resolve.

If you notice we've gone in for incremental escalation in all the encounters we've had with them from Uri onwards . From ground based shallow surgical strikes across the LoC / IB , to targeting Balakot ( & 3 other sites ) in what's mainland Paxtan for the first time since 1971 & especially since they became an official N power to now where we've struck in the heart of Paxtan - Paxtani Punjab that too in multiple sites on multiple occasions & these are military installations as opposed to Balakot or even our opening salvos where we targeted 9 sites but they were restricted to terrorism infrastructure .

I don't expect much more to happen now that international pressure is mounting & the west getting restless unless of course Munir Maamu tries something really really foolish which can't be ruled out . Otherwise this is going to de escalate on both sides from here onwards.

The silver lining is with Munir Maamu being around , we'd always get our chances. I'm betting towards the end of this year , in 6 months time. The other silver linings are the validation of our various systems , platforms , training & professionalism of our armed forces , our Defence R&D , mfg , apart from tactics , strategy , communication ( which was pathetically non existent in Balakot ) etc.

Time to go back to the drawing board ( as will Paxtan ) & see where we could've done better . Also speed up various items under development & developmental trials . Ramp up mfg. Get those items we've long planned for but dilly dallied like the MRFA / Rafales on a war footing & for God's sake the GoI must must absolutely increase defence expenditure.

What iam getting is that US tried reaching out to both India and Pakistan, pakistan got convinced and is ready for de-escalation (if India stop attacking) but from our side Modi administration is not making noise at all. That means we are up for some more action.

"The Jew cries out in pain as he strikes you"

They will say that Endia attacked and they are only giving befitting reply
Reuters will then run an article saying an anonymouse Pentagon official confirmed that India hit them first.

Are we targeting their air bases with drones or missiles? The targeting seems to be so precise. If we are rendering their air bases not usable for 24 hours, we should consider taking their fighter jets out. Taking out landing strips first and then decimating their hardened shelters would be icing on the cake. We should try using air version of our Brah-mos on at least high value military asset. Until now our actions seems to have come from drones not our fighter jets. It would be awesome to see if we take out their fuel and ammunition depots.
It will be a real travesty if we don't go for complete neutralization of pakistan air force. Their air defenses and their air forces should be completed neutralized.

Pakistan army if it is allowed to exist should not resemble anything more than a militia. A group of man with some guns and bullets with a few vehicles.

Anything less than is just cope.

Not yet, navy will do it's job hopefully soon

I am roaming with family in bangalore. Below one surprised and pakistan changed the map itself.
This reminded me of a conversation I had with a Paki on the infamous forum. He said and I quote:

"Don't be too much overconfident of yourself Indian. We have the capability to give you a bloody nose. Remember, In 1965 war Pakistani navy reached Delhi Harbor"
