@Azaad saar, seems like your plan is fructifying, PAF bases being hit, maybe their jets in hangar also
Only thing that remains is the PN getting a taste of many
My wish was for something high up on the escalatory ladder namely the partial destruction of the PAF especially their platforms reducing our targeting their ground based assets only to what's mandatory viz ADS , ATC , etc & near full destruction of the PN.
We're nowhere close to my wish list. To quote you & other millenials plus Gen Z out here , we're still in Buddh not Yuddh mode as in we're still in non escalatory mode irrespective PAF & Fauji Foundation tried their best to target our assets .
They failed & we refused to retaliate in kind much like we didn't for Operation Swift Retort punishing them for intent rather than the damages they inflicted which on the ground even then was not happening.
That's the salient lesson we ought to take from this operation , Operation Sindoor.
Does that mean we didn't inflict damage or that our operations were ineffective ? No , far from it , we've demonstrated intent , capabilities & resolve.
If you notice we've gone in for incremental escalation in all the encounters we've had with them from Uri onwards . From ground based shallow surgical strikes across the LoC / IB , to targeting Balakot ( & 3 other sites ) in what's mainland Paxtan for the first time since 1971 & especially since they became an official N power to now where we've struck in the heart of Paxtan - Paxtani Punjab that too in multiple sites on multiple occasions & these are military installations as opposed to Balakot or even our opening salvos where we targeted 9 sites but they were restricted to terrorism infrastructure .
I don't expect much more to happen now that international pressure is mounting & the west getting restless unless of course Munir Maamu tries something really really foolish which can't be ruled out . Otherwise this is going to de escalate on both sides from here onwards.
The silver lining is with Munir Maamu being around , we'd always get our chances. I'm betting towards the end of this year , in 6 months time. The other silver linings are the validation of our various systems , platforms , training & professionalism of our armed forces , our Defence R&D , mfg , apart from tactics , strategy , communication ( which was pathetically non existent in Balakot ) etc.
Time to go back to the drawing board ( as will Paxtan ) & see where we could've done better . Also speed up various items under development & developmental trials . Ramp up mfg. Get those items we've long planned for but dilly dallied like the MRFA / Rafales on a war footing & for God's sake the GoI must must absolutely increase defence expenditure.
