Honestly IDC for me Indian armed forces had pakis by the balls till the last minute no amount of gloom and doom can change that at the same time it's increasingly clear pakis tested nukes which made US nervous and they pressured us into a ceasefire agreement.
Us attacking the nuclear storage site is the proof of that
From here there are two things
1)Either we naively went for the ceasefire
2)We expected Pakis not adhering to the ceasefire and then actively went into it and announced that any terrorist attack will be taken as an act of war.

Then when Pakistan started attacking again america had a suprised pikachu moment and we were ready for taking out nukes of Pakistan and that's why media went after the news that attacks were happening.
At the same moment US Cargo plane was also enroute to India.

Then suddenly talks between Doval and Wang Yi takes place and Chinese pledge thier support for Pakistan if their territorial sovereignty is violated they won't sit still.

IMO we failed to predict this and this is what put Babudom into seizure that's why suddenly media restarted the news of attack all of this was done in a hurry and we asked pakistan to adhere to the ceasefire.

Or all this didn't happened and Modi had no appetite for war.

Pakistan’s idea of war now runs like this:
  1. Start something stupid.
  2. Lose millitarly
  3. Beg Uncle Sam for a ceasefire.
  4. Violate it under cover of fog and dead press coverage.
  5. Declare “strategic victory” from a green screen in Rawalpindi.
As Indian missiles lit up the skies over key Pakistani assets, Rawalpindi’s keyboard corps fired up Photoshop and declared: “We let them hit us… it was part of the plan!”

1. We hit Pakistan's "Strategic Locations"
2. Something related Nuclear happened. We don't know what
3. Uncle got spooked. They hastily weighed in & brokered a ceasefire
4. Pakistan broke the ceasefire immediately. India called them out
5. There has been no official announcement of end of "Operation Sindoor".
6. No one from CCS except Jaishankar has spoken.

There is something happening further. Only time will tell. Ofcourse, Pakistanis are great at painting defeats as victories, we are great at painting victories as defeats. So we both will continue as per our national character

I don't care about Western validation. It isn't validation. It is recognition. The only reason the USA and Russia, and China hold the cards that they hold is because the rest of the world accepts and recognises their superiority. This is the need of the hour for India as well.
We need to drive India's dominance into the very psyche of the other world players. And if we end up being touted as the losers of this conflict because we withheld operational info, and the damage inflicted, allowing Pakistan to claim a victory, however hollow it is, we not only do not assert our dominance but signal to the world that we'll still cower away from a decisive victory fearing the likes of the US and China. This is NOT acceptable.

Even if you think we took an L it can be converted into a W if Modi govt cleans up the house properly be it media judiciary or Babudom.

And at last
My gut says we were essentially pressured by america to ceasefire and threatened by China to not attack.
If India as a nation does not build up its economy, arms itself to the teeth and ""FR gets ready for 2 front war"" like its an existential crisis we are NGMI

Not a BJP guy but I salute my PM and respect him for taking this major major action on a terrorist act.

People younger forget about UPA1 and 2 days under thoroughly corrupted congress leadership.

The bomb blast killing dozen people was norm of the day and at same time these congress and opposition leaders were frequent travellers to pakistan with some time not even any presence of any condemnation from UPA folks

This PM has changed the equation
