Operation Sindoor

There are some awful messages by Indians in the comments sections of some Indian TV channels, very sour, negative, unappreciative. Stuff like "Pakistan will rebuild those bases with IMF and American help"

India has just struck a major blow, militarily, economically and psychologically, at Pakistan, and all these posters can think of is "all or nothing" i.e that there should not be a single functional air base ever in that misbegotten country. Of course, that would be wonderful, but is it realistic in the short run. Just appreciate and respect what has been done. Evidently, that is hard to ask of some people!

And we should also start counting our dead. Such heavy price was paid for what? There is nothing called a consolation prize in Geo-politics. It was a tactical victory, but a strategic defeat.

Pakis also get preferential international media headlines because they give out distinct and concrete numbers, even when they are complete fabrications - "3 IAF jets shot down, 4 bases attacked, 15 Indian soldiers killed, 4 Soldiers taken POW."

Compare that with the Indian announcements, "Significant damage caused to enemy airbase", "Many terrorists killed".

Which one do you think would make for better catchy headlines, that would make people click their articles and reports?

I've been calling for better BDA for many years now, asking for the Armed forces to start giving out numbers. Who cares if you are off by 15-20%? Nobody's going to care about corroborating all that.

A definitive outcome in India's favor would have beaten all the narrative. We Indians must stop blaming our enemies/competitions for not supporting your position or for breaking our trust, sounds childish.

First thing to realize, is that our armed forces will NEVER agree to pakistan-esque propaganda management- this to the armed forces, is basically the functional equivalent of 'let my gestapo oversee your statements & mission profile, mmkay ?'and every single self respecting competent military will say Eff you.

That being said, we need to learn from Americans - we dont need exact numbers, if we can confirm at least a minimum baseline/be reasonably sure that our minimum baseline is true- even if means under-counting and playing it safe: for eg : saying 'at least 200 terrorists killed in missile strike ' instead of giving absolute bullshit numbers like Pak.

Your above-mentioned line assumes that conflict is over.
Remember, this is a ceasefire and we have not only convened our entire NATSEC apparatus with the PM today, we have also said we are in a wait and see mode of OUR CHOSING than committing to a Korea like ceasefire commitment.

The war isnt over by our accounts. We havent declared operation sindoor to be over.

Just to gauge the public reaction, which is mostly positive. But there are some nay sayers and sour pusses, they need to be called out!

The public sentiment is slowly building up in a particular direction (even among the party cadre), and we will soon get to read a new "masterstroke" or "saving the world from nuclear war" story as a stop-loss and face-saving measure.

There were news of Earthquake in Pakistan. Was this due to nuclear testing? Does anyone has any info about this?
Yes, there were 2 earthquakes reported, between 4-5 richter scale, most likely attributed to nuclear tests. Which is why American got into action and pushed for Deesclation.

I am assuming your first para is referencing to the 1971 war. But you conveniently left out the part that the 7th fleet was deterred by the nuke sub sent by Soviet Union. Who is gonna play the Soviet Union now? To deter a bully you need a equally strong bully at your side.

Now coming to the your later part. Sanctions lagne dete? You do realize that US sanctions mean they will obstruct the trade in dollars, which practically means you are fucked up economically. Not to mention the western capital will take a flight back home, crashing your markets. Hyperinflation will take a grip. Also our military is dependent on foreign vendors so they are screwed as well.

I am failing to understand the point you are trying to make here. It's almost sounded FAFO, like those craziest across the border. Pakistan will keep attacking unless you completely destroy them. You are fighting a civilization battle here. Even if they lose majority of their military assets they will keep coming at you. Op Sindoor we have the capabilities to strike their heavily defended bases at will, something even our most optimistic and enthusiastic military strategist wouldn't have guessed.
????

Did you forget we have nukes now or what???
We gave the nuke subs, AC and whatnot.

Second, sanctions are aimed at getting a result. Russia has sanctions as long as they keep fighting Ukraine. Negotiations can start after it has been put on us as a leverage.

No one can confirm that news originated from pakistani tv channels they reported it for mere seconds and then nothing.
It was a nuclear detonation to bring usa and china for the face saving of pakistan.
My take is china saved pakistan ass this time as india was pounding pakistan after violation of ceasefire it was china who gave the message of standing with pakistan and wont tolerate indian boots on pakistan which led indian govt to rethink and ceasefire.

But our generals said that we are very much ready for a 2 front war. Whatever happened to that????
