Operation Sindoor

Jamnagar has se superb air defence
It's literally an interceptor base , iam talking bravado because our army enabled us to do so .
Jamnagar also had siren and black outs it's still closed for its single air india flight , lands mostly in afternoon ,
The base is in routine days , home to Jags , naval strike ones , mig 29s, mig 21 s and in special days ,one can see mirage 2000 also. we literally intercepted a missile enroute to Delhi over sirsa .
We were in position to show bravado , heck , not only that last night msm folks.who invite generals etc
They were surprised and angry .
We would have repaired the damage , if it would have hit it easily .
now you sound exactly like a Pakistani before we hit their nuclear storage sites — parroting the same "it can't be done" nonsense. And we did it, didn’t we?, & and please don't compare single missile interception to a barrage of missiles its not the same .EOD its good our government and military listen to actual strategists armchair warriors like us.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully executed its assigned tasks in Operation Sindoor, with precision and professionalism. Operations were conducted in a deliberate and discreet manner, aligned with National Objectives.Since the Operations are still ongoing, a detailed briefing will be conducted in due course. The IAF urges all to refrain from speculation and dissemination of unverified information.

I'll never deny that India got the bureaucracy, but India in 1947 or even 2010 is NOT India in 2025. Bureaucrats still enjoy more than their share of power and privileges, I'll accede. But it nowhere extends to the kind of influence the likes of you are hinting at.
We are responsible for giving bureaucrats so much power. We have a babu culture in our society. Even in several scientific organizations and universities in India, the bureaucratic minded scientist or professor reaches the top. Individuals who take risks, are innovative and have a research oriented mindset seldom reach the top. As a society we have to first deal with this problem before dreaming of becoming Vishwaguru.

Fine mate , I said on first day itself that all we here do is bak bak, anybody who listens to us does it at his own peril.
I will myself never give any opinion to government, even if by some retarded chance they asked me for it .
I know my limits , still whether you like it or not ceasefire declaration was abrupt , and it was broken by our jazba guys .
Never underestimate the paki itch to get back at you.
And Don't worry my vote goes to leaderji everytime , if I am alive in 2029 , leaderji will get the vote .

GET OUT OF YOUR DEFENCE FORUMS FOR A MINUTE AND GO TO TWITTER. THE ENTIRE INDIAN POPULATION IS ANGRY AT THE SUDDEN CEASEFIRE DECISION, EVEN AFTER VIOLATIONS OF THAT FROM PAKISTAN.

For how long IT cells will keep saving Modi's blunder??? All BJP supporters are bashing BJP
& for once im happy that he doesn't listen to his retarded bhakt groupies than actually strategists . if it were upto them ,idiots will get us all killed .

sounds rich coming from the same Indians who salivate at the sight of power held by petty politicians and babus. They greedily ogle at news articles of IAS toppers thinking one day their sons or daughters will become glorified clerks. They praise APJ Kalam but secretly pray that he should not be born in their family but in the neighbors house. A greedy, selfish society expects Modi and the military to do the heavy lifting when the society sits comfortably dreaming of a life filled with ill gotten wealth. A corrupt greedy society.

please share your thoughts

- Did Operation Sindoor(not just the first day strike but as a whole) met it's goal or did it fall short or did they overachieved ? If not, what do you think the minimum goal was (& what you would've like it to be) ?

- How did GOI did in information/media space ? Did they do a good job and if not WHAT CAN WE DO NOW (not in future but now)

- What did we learn from Operation Sindoor ? Tactically, strategically, technology and diplomatically

- what should be the immediate measures now

- Sarkari objectives seems to be to "destroy terror infrastructure" and "kill terrorists" and "give befitting reply to swift retard" which have been achieved, I would like a full or partial demilitarization of paapistan with their assets like planes, ships arty, ammo dumps, tanks destroyed to defang them for the next 5-8 years.

- GoI released proof via the PC but this was only for domestic consumption, customers of paapistan have Western MSM and narratives under lock

- We learnt that piglets have shit AD against everything and especially drones, US will always save it's nuclear armed swine from our sword

- Just increase defense budget and whip those baboo and UN Genrol asses to fast track procurement of hardware, deshi or imported, whatever

We achieved our primary objective but we had a chance to change geography which we missed. But trust pakis ,they will do this mistake again with months if not days.Trump need to be hammered here that in Subcontinent India is the boss not USA or china even ruskies are not didn't bother us.

Objective: Restore deterrence.
My analysis: Fell short due to the throttling of the military ops at a key juncture. Deterrence against Pakistan works depending on how we respond to Pakistan's ever-reliable "We Win" narrative. CERTAINLY fell short there. (This is correct at this time. I am inclined to believe that it is far from over atm).

Information/ Media Space: Here, let me do a symbolic tip of the hat to my fellow DFBians. Folks, I believe we have been the only bunch who properly vetted, confirmed, and assimilated credible info. GoI succeeded and failed at the same time. Succeeded in maintaining complete professionalism and no leak in operational info, something that has been an issue time and again in the past. Failed in effectively setting the international record straight that we have hammered them quite well. The need of the hour is a state-sponsored media house that functions as proactively as the likes of Al Jazeera.

I'll leave it here for now. The rest, I'll wait till the briefing on the 12th to give you a better informed analysis. But I will say that the need of the hour is to reach the $10T mark asap, while bolstering the indigenous defence research and manufacturing capabilities. This is the vital leverage that we're lacking right now. If we had these two covered, JD Vance would have heard a resounding F*** You from our PM on the call.

I have already explained the reason I see behind this "limited conflict".

Modi wanted something bigger better than 2019 (public spectacle, big explosions), he got it and then offered a ramp-off to Pakistan in the form of 3 Rafale jets downing. Just watch the official statements given to the foreign media by several GoI officials including the first press briefing on the "Operation Sindoor".

He had expected the situation to die down quickly with both the sides claiming victories of their own, but the mad Maulana (Pakistan's Army Chief) grabbed and belled the cat through further escalation.

Many defense experts are already calling it a battle of Credibility, there never existed any "military" or "strategic" objective.

Men and material have been sacrificed to protect the reputation of the Supreme Leader.

just to add a bit.

this predates and much bigger than modi, doval etc. modi, doval etc are a public face to thousands of nameless faceless bureaucrats, military and intelligence officers working for GoI.

Indian security establishment has been trying to solve this dilemma for a long time, the problem statement is how to defend India from sub-conventional threat protected by nuclear umbrella using conventional means available to GoI.

op parakram, diplomacy after 26/11, olive branch to paki land after modi swearing in, 2016 reponse, 2019 response and now op sindoor. all of them are part of the same thinking, trying to solve a dilemma of countering a sub-conventional threat using conventional means.

this means the thousands of nameless faceless bureaucrats, military and intelligence officers working for GoI will continue to try to solve this problem in the future too, based on the options available at that point in time in the future.

Buddy, I have got close family members in the top bureaucracy, including a few in the central ministries. It is like a family heirloom.

Indian politicians have deep distrust for the military and rely heavily on the bureaucrats to do their dirty works (babus are aggreable, military officers not so much).

Just look at the number of ex-bureaucrats holding positions in the central cabinet. Modi even granted ticket to a freshly retired ex-ambassador to contest election from Punjab in 2024. Modi is known for relying heavily on the babus since his days as Gujarat's CM.
