I don't think Russia is any position to sell Su-57's to India. Furthermore, India won't buy anything unless Tot is on the cards, and an assembly line is created in India with the make in India scheme, or some components are manufactured in India.
That's why I am not too keen on India purchasing F35's either. It might only happen if we are under significant pressure.

I listened to the briefing intently. Here is my take:

1. They mostly downplayed the events. Like they sent some drones, we hit some targets. We did not say that we attacked their strategic nuclear delivery sites.
2. Navy is just patiently waiting for one chance. The escalation ladder that army, air force, and navy had worked out-- navy level action had not yet arrived. He clearly said- we are tracking all their naval assets. Means we know where their subs are.
3. They got interrupted by this abrupt caesefire while having clear plans and war games at all the levels

One thing that I would say takes some maturity to understand is fighter jet technology. I was a super enthusiast of new fighter planes like 15 years back, taking note of every development in fighter jet tech inside and outside India. But as I matured, I understood that air force is not about crazy technology and crazy dogfights where a heroic pilot takes down several enemy jets.

Role of air force is to achieve national objectives during conflict. I am proud that our airforce achieved that. If Pakis are happy with their forces not achieving their objectives, notably when we bombed all their bases with impunity- it is just their ganwarishness.

Hope people on this forum do not stoop to such ganwariness.
