I can only speak for myself, I have never raised doubt or concerns about our military in this conflict. Ofcourse we have our limitations but we have all been plesantly surprised by our ability to defend ourselves and strike deep into Porkland. I have concerns about our ability in the case of a two front conflict. But that's a separate discussion.

My concerns with respect to this conflict have always been about the civilian leadership including the MEA all the upto the PM. There isn't any communication from them about the events and why we agreed to ceasefire to why we are ignoring provocations post ceasefire. Even now there are blackouts and siren in border cities.

Unfortunately, nothing in this confrence addresses these concerns which can only be done by the civilian leadership.

The " missed their targets" theory is based on the fact that the terrorist building was still standing after the strikes. That's true. But we can use them against the Chinese too. The USA used chinks against the Soviet in the Soviet-Sino split. And, later the chinks showed a big middle finger to USA. Now, they won't trust us like they did the chinks. We can still use and co-operate with them.

Globohomo ideology is not the only ideology in the USA, and that ideology isn't just limited to the USA.

National Interest has long lost its reputation among serious defence aficionados . It's not a recent development either. Sample other articles unrelated to India on it be it pertaining to US or Russia ( their favourite bugbear ) or Europe or even China.There are big glaring holes in their reportage.

In short , NI is not a serious publication. It's somewhat like Wikipedia. Good enough for a primer , that too at times . Not for deep analysis or granular details. There, War on the Rocks or The War Zone score well. A few other publications too whose names I can't recall top of the mind. Jane's is still the gold standard to those who cam afford the subscription.
