I was waiting for the IAF to comment on this matter. Unfortunately it doesn't look good. Had we NOT lost any FA , there'd be a categorical statement to this effect .

It's all but confirmed we've lost a FA without getting into the particulars like numbers & type.

I think we lost 1 ac likely mig 29 about rafale we have only engine which did create by ai but wait for offiacal conformation .we are not paki .if we lost airfarme iaf will adddmit it .dont worry .we have prooved what we can do .just chill

I have some well-placed sources, there is an ongoing nuclear leak at the Nur Khan AFB facility, which housed their tactical nukes. Also, the Bholari airstrike was to destroy the aircraft that was being prepped for a nuclear strike mission as a show of force in the Chohistan desert.

These pakis might not be a nuclear kuwwat by the end of the year. I guess that is one of the concessions Modi has secured from the US and the IAEA.

Also, I believe we have a very well-placed mole high up in the chain of command of Pakistan. I can only speculate, but the leak is given.

This is the reason we need to wait for all developments come as CONFIRMED and not jump into conclusion why India didn't escalate further and did ceasefire. One thing for sure, India didn't hold back from hitting major nuke bases! It's a BIG ESCLATION! Nuke bluff called and neutralized at least for now.

So maybe India has forced US/IAEA to be involved so they get their boots on the Paki grounds. Maybe some covert plan or something which can deter Pakis using/enriching nukes etc process for future? All this can make the PAKI NUKES RISKY and Vulnerable and open for inspection or scrapped or something.

Maybe a long term plan of defanging Paki snake of it's nukes and thus break it into further pieces? Iran may already have nukes and all.

Had it been a real war, pakistan would have lost a lot of its assets, they had no air defence and their jets would have been sitting ducks after we bombed their airbases so we have achieved air domination but albeit at a cost (relatively very small) so I see this as an absolute W for IAF. Our arguably "weakest" force trumped their strongest one.

This incident proves that Pakistani nuclear weapons pose a greater risk to Pakistan’s own population than to India. In the event of a full-scale war, the Indian military would be compelled to target Pakistan’s nuclear bases to prevent their use. I was saying same thing for years. American are worthless untrustworthy. Pakistan chooses china mal but still they are beloved of USA. So no even if we buy f35 we will never get close to us.
We choose Russian we can develope here and make our version. Su30 just proved to be better than Rafale. So Russian quality is good and we can adopt and adapt very well.
We can get our and Israeli fixture on. Which are much reliable than nato . We just realised our quality is trustworthy.
We don’t have to worry about where and how to use . Without a kill switch . USA can stop us anytime during next war.
We need our own satellite and fighter jet.
With new engine and nozzle it will be very potent and give us learning for our own amca.

So wisely Russia is best choice unless darpok politician go for USA.

Have been saying this for ages.
Except Su, IAF has nothing which can -
1. Go 1000+ kms into enemy territory ( I know I know about chong AD HQ9 HQ16 ) on internal fuel
2. Carry a 5000 pounder bomb
3. Carry 20+ SAAW and disable a runway with a single flight of fighters ( some say 28-32)
4. Tire enemy aircrafts down by hot-cold tactics and kill when they try to go cold
5. Start from deep within India and still kill at the borders
6. Change theatre in a 2 front war
7. Carry with 800kms range now and 3-5 NG with 300kms range in the future
8. Act like mini AWACS for the whole attack or defence package
9. Carry that ugly SAP POD which can provide cover to the whole pack
10. My fav : can do pugachevs cobra.

Sometimes I feel IAF should have asked for 600+ such airframes.

Btw- Chong possibly has 800+ derivatives.

What i LOVE the Su-30 for, is its 'in bare-bones' an AMAZING plane - its got all the 'main' things covered except stealth:
1. can it carry 3 elephants at the same time while carrying full tank of gas ? Check. Its lift capacity at full fuel load is 10 tonnes.
2. does it have a humongous radome to put cool electronic/radar shit in it in future that we dont have yet ? Check Su-30 has a proper desi Om Puri nose that you can hide a whole planet inside.
3. Is it super duper long range ? Check
4. is it fast and nimble ? Check.
5. is it twin engined for flight reliability ? Check
6. Does it generate crap ton of power ? Also check.

These 6 factors is why Su-30 is the Bhisma pitamah, one true immortal of the IAF - even in 2100 it wont go out of style.
Why ?
Because any plane that has above 6 features means, your old YUUGE signature and rustbucket in 2100 AD still can be kitted out with the fanciest electronics that we havent invented yet, making it at the very least, a SEAD/DEAD goat and its lift capacity and long distance legs means it can be a bomb truck of amazing proportions. Remember, huge power output + huge radome = empty house for cool electronics shit that does SEAD/DEAD even if your plane is a rustbucket for ariel combat. Plus 10 tonnes lift capacity on full tank of gas means u r practically a light heavyweight bomber too - you alone can go throw a bunker buster and blow up a whole mountain. AND you can carry a few smaller bombs and blow up a bunch of barracks - you one damn Su-30.
Coz with brahmos underbelly - you can go blow up a bunker in a mountain if the warhead is correct and it weighs between 1.5 to 3 tonnes, while Su-30 can lift 10 tonnes on full tank of gas, so now you got another 7-8 tonnes of smaller bombs for your under-wing carriage.

India will never say this, but fyi, we can nuke a side with nuclear brahmos and super-sukhoi.

Not even F-22 or F-35 has anywhere close to the Su-30's lift capacity+distance requirement to be a bomb truck or radome size+power output requirement to be SEAD/DEAD Gods of the future ( both these requirements are dual requirements- even if you have one but not the other, you fail in role)- the only comparable to the Su-30 is its slightly shittier older bro from USA - the vaunted F-15 and its slightly better non-exported but single seater version Su-35.

These are the true Bhisma pitamahas of the world air force - he who has them, will never phase them out from operational reasons - usa may coz usa is stupid and doesnt care for money and will spend billions to make a new plane teeny tiny better F-16 and junk theirs, but no one else is that stupid.

I believe a thermobaric bomb or a bomb that ignites oxygen around it through aerosol. is the most powerful non nuclear weapon by area to be used in a missile . India doesn't have it in missile form although India has developed a 120mm thermobaric round, based on the high-explosive squash head (HESH) design, for use in its Arjun Main Battle Tank (MBT).

Multiple Indian missiles have thermobaric warheads:

My feeling is this. I just got home from exercising and was thinking about this. The ceasefire makes absolutely no sense.

1. Trump/China trade deal to be announced very shortly. This is coming on the heels of this ceasefire. Why now?
- My suspicion is that India did far better than what USA expected, but there were losses. Trump likely was dangling GE F104s to India. Either accept the ceasefire or lose access to the engine. India was supposed to be the manufacturing hub as China is drained of it's capabilities (American companies moving to India).
- India doing better than expected means that card was also out of the picture.
2. India suffered losses, too.
- There is no doubt there were losses. The Air chief or whoever said something to this effect as well. Nothing really makes much sense. This somehow gave India an out: Trump made Pakistan sue for peace and we met our strategic objectives so we agreed.
- Ultimately, it's still bizarre. Despite losses, India was at a clear advantage. Why pursue peace when you can cripple? I don't get this either.
