We attacked a nuke storage site with conventional munitions. Most likely bunker buster or BrahMos and we hit the entrance of the bunker that the Pakis have built into the tunnel.

Meaning post the door breach all that explosive and kinetic energy has been transferred inside.

How tolerant are nukes of external shocks before they go up in sympathetic detonation.?

I see 2 possibilities.

1. There was a sympathetic detonation which kicked off a sizeable chain detonation inside the facility that has been cut into the mountains.

Problems with this argument are,
a. How big of a detonation does it have to be to create that earthquake we saw?
b. How can we confirm this? Or alternatively what will we see on the ground in the near,mid term and Long term future at this site if this has come to pass?

2. Because of the explosive shock and kinetic energy, some or atleast one warhead stored there has leaked radioactive material inside the storage facility and the entire facility is contaminated. The implications are massive as this would take out a large chunk of paki nukes with minimal risk to us .

All that money that pakis have invested into the nukes is gone just like that. It will be quite a large sum as nukes are crazy expensive to build and maintain.

I am not saying this is what happened. This is just my speculation based on available information.

All if you please feel free to poke holes in this theory as the sudden entry of the yanks after some ' intelligence ' is really suspicious.

Re upping my post made after the abrupt ceasefire.

Based on the latest developments and the chatter surrounding the nuclear radiation detection planes of US DAE landing in Pakistan and along with the call between our MEA and Egypt FM, speculated to be about supply of Boron, what can we gleam from these developments?

The Nuclear material leakage is strongly rumored but there is absolutely no official word about this, some handles that peddle Gora GAE POV like that Derek Grossman fellow tweeted confirmation.

Well I don't believe we will be able to confirm this directly as I doubt any government will come out and admit if we did some damage to nukes and there is radiation.

However, if you beleive India was seriously looking to bang Porkis, which I don't, then this and risk if further nuclear radiation could be one valid reason we stood down.

And everything reversed in 1-2 years right. But everyone in the world would respect India as a superpower who established itself.

I tend to agree but we have many that don't want to take a economic hit to deal with the Porkies.

Anyone who believes this news have no basic understanding of stealth fighter development and economic situation of Porkistan. Let me elaborate on that.

Stealth Fighter development

Before Americans built F-22 and F-35, they built F-117 Night hawk and B-2 spirit bomber. So they had a solid foundation to build F-22 and F-35. Despite having laid such strong foundation building and developing F-22 cost them a bomb. That is why they stopped production midway at 189 F-22 aircrafts. You all know about how much they spent on F-35 program? $1 Trillion+. Fifth generation fighters doesn't mean just being invisible to Radars. It needs to act like Fifth generation right from it's engine having reduced infrared signature, having super cruise capabilities without afterburners, exceptional AESA radar, fully being a part of networked environment, exceptional EW capabilities etc.

Even though US achieved all this, F-22 pilots constantly complained about how they don't have the missiles to take full advantage of F-22 capabilities. You see USAF still had old A2A missiles like AMRAAM. Because of their lesser range F-22 pilots used to launch these missiles at great speed thus increasing their range. Ofcourse now, F-22 doesn't have that problem as they have solid missiles to go with. It took 20 years to mature F-22. Now they are recently have given a contract to upgrade F-22 from it's older subsystems.

Porkis will get momos from Chinese not a Stealth aircraft. It might look like one but not function like 5th generation aircraft. If US with it's vast experience took such long time and financial resources, it is extremely stupid to believe J-31 which is not even inducted into Chinese air force will be exceptional 5th generation aircraft.

Pakistan's economy

Take a look at all the aircrafts PAF operates. Every single one of them is single Engine fighter. The costs of operating even 4.5 generation twin engine jet for PAF is so high they have steered clear away from it. Now add 5th generation stealth fighter which needs extensive maintenance of Radar absorbing material(RAM) coating, engine maintenance, it will break their bank. And you all know the economic situation of Porkistan. They are begging for $1 billion from IMF. You think they can buy and operate a 5th generation aircraft? The cost of operating a F-22 per hour is at $70,000 - $80,000. And with F-35 is at $30,000 - $40,000 per hour. There is a reason why USAF is inducting more F-15 EX these days. Because these things are freaking expensive to operate. I don't even have to tell what will be there development and production cost.

Psychological damage to IAF of what? Supposedly losing a jet that was sanctioned on a mission? Lmao. There is always an understanding in every military worth it's salt that no matter how great a weapons system is, it can and will be vulnerable during a war.

If IAF was psychologically damaged, it wouldn't have carried out further missile strikes on Paki airbases. The Government of India would've promptly declared that the Operation was over and sue for peace. That did not happen. We bombed their airfields in broad daylight, the ones that house their nukes no less, extremely precisely while facing 0 resistance from their ching chong air defense systems (not for a lack of trying, they simply are incapable). Mind you, all this after the IAF was "psychologically damaged" by a supposed downing of a jet which you claim will "last much longer". Is '2 days' your definition of "much longer"? Seems so.

The PAF airbases can be repaired within a week if they want but we can just bomb them again and bring them back to square one all the same. We have thousands and thousands of BrahMos in our inventory, many of them phased to retire within the next few years. In a war of attrition, the PAF will effectively be dismantled.

3. Next day we bombed and disabled half your airfield, burned your AWACS, bombed your nuclear storage site, again all on video and in broad daylight.

Till now Chinese armed Pakistanis in a correct way in which China does not loose its crown jewel.

They sold JF-17 which is an continuation of F-7 series of jets catered to Pakistanis requirement. Even PLAAF never purchased this product since at that time they have Sukhoi clones and J10s.

Now they are allowing J10 because J20 is already matured and in sufficient numbers. Also J10s were in limited numbers and along with typical Export grade products.

China will give 5th gen when they have sufficient 6th Gen platforms.

Nope ..they pose no threat ..there is a misconception that 5th Gen tech can counter 5th Gen tech ..that's not the case
Assuming Paki can strike deep in India using 5th Gen , we can dismantle their entire air force infra within a day as we have demonstrated . Like I said they will need runway to land and take off ..If they don't have runway their are just expensive machines for showcasing
