You'd probably learn a lot if you read a lot including but not exclusively limited to from the data available here but to do that you ought to get out of your single track mind that this government knows less of national security than you do going by their choices which are in the public domain.

Like for example they've interleaved all civilian radars & possibly cell towers along with weather radars & other such civilian sensors across the country into an elaborate & enormous network of radar systems with the Akashteer of the IA , the IACCS of the IAF & Trigun of the IN along with dedicated satellites into a system of system to create a comprehensive picture of all incoming aerial threats from miniature drones to BMs to CMs to FAs to possibly Stealth FAs too.

I understand Iran has (had?) some value, but frankly - in addition to the fact that they're terrorism affiliated Islamist psychos too - they're also impotent as a country. Many people essentially nurse the hope/dream that Iran could create problems for Pakistan. But especially relative to their size and how much trouble they created for the US & Israel in the Middle East for a long time - Iran is practically impotent in dealing with Pakistan. Pakistan actually regularly stares them down during tensions, and Iran has been able to do fuck all in recent times as Shias get slaughtered in Pakistan like goats. So if the Iranians want to take this whole Gaurav Arya episode up the ass, fine, to hell with them. The Gulf Arabs and Israelis are much better - and far more powerful - friends to us anyways. Iran is slowly even losing whatever influence it had in the Middle East as its proxies and allies get picked off, and is little more than a Chinese sidekick now. It's also Iran's interest in occupied Sistan-Baluchestan which has likely hampered more open Indian support to the Baloch occupied by Pakistan as well - which is something that needs to be taken to its conclusion now. Iran needs India more than India needs an under-punching, global pariah state like Iran whose oil can't even be purchased without courting sanctions.

Well Have sifted through many posts about radiation. Most of them are bad sarcasm , i am just finding out one's which look a bit genuine as per their Twitter timeline. Lets wait for few more days, Radiation leaks can't be hidden for long.

There is no radiation leak. America intervened because we tapped that hill. We tapped that hill to force america to intervene. Leaderji was not interested in a war. We are still import army and pakistanis are still the world's best whore. So, when they escalated to ballistic missile leaderji ordered tapping their nuclear facilities and air bases to force american hands.

Finally we know americans still have control over the pig farmers and chinese are just going to provide them material assets.

waise just a side note - while our weapons have performed brilliantly, they are still not immune to negative press (especially propaganda), if they perform poorly in other countries like armenia.

remember, Akash, brahmos, SAAW(?) and other desi systems did well because of highly networked systems and well-trained crews. there is no guarantee that these weapons will have the same outcome in the hands of armenia, phillippines and vietnam since those factors may or may not be present.

i am especially wary of armenia since their army could not put up much of a fight with the azeris earlier. granted, they were technologically hampered, but crew training and morale is a very important facet of war on which the equipment's performance can matter, and we don't have much info on that.

as i see it, there are only two ways to ensure our equipment is always in the news for good reasons -

1. pray the customer countries never go for a war
2. pakistan ko ham hi lagatar pelte rahein every 1-2 years!!

Akash system or any air defence missile system can be overwhealmed with swarms , decoys , near stealth kamikaze etc .. Akash performed better because of integrated command . It's part of the layer . Imagine the operator knows a object to be taken out by akash system when it ll be at 100km distance . Besides the importance of air defence guns with ammunitions having fragments can't be discounted . It's cheapest way to deal with threats . They have made a return . Point defence with some short range small missiles like the one being developed by solar group (bhrgabhastra) going to be very effective in future .

Looks like everyone of the ex military have gotten a diktat. The way he said it was extremely unlike of him. Especially ignoring the small smile that our Air Marshal suppressed when feigning ignorance about the nuke facility. He didn't talk about it.

We won't be having more than 500 brahmos at this stage all the three variants put together ..Speaking of which this is what Govt was trying to expedite , i don't think they would be putting such pressure on vendors if we had 5k in inventory already

Indian Army has 5 Missile regiments, each regiment has 12-16 mobile launchers, each with 3 missiles ready to fire and reloads, around 100-120 missiles per regiment. All regiments are active, so IA, alone has over 500-600 missiles.

2 Coastal defence batteries were ordered with 4 launchers each and reloads, around 50-60 units

IAF orders: 200 (at least)

IN: Has 7 Classes of ships that are active and carry the BrahMos, that number in my math is around 224, currently active ships, many more still under construction

Another 250+ on order (latest order) (2025)
Another 220 IN -ER (order)

Guesstimate, We quite clearly have over 800-900 or more by now, Production rate went over 100 units per year when we launched the unit in Kerala.
