Operation Sindoor

This is actually a very BIG deal. Japan used to be the most favoured equity market because Japan actually had negative interest rates on debt. That has changed today, but it still hasn't risen anywhere close to India. Besides, Japan is touted to be one of the safest markets in which to build equity. Now, if this news is true, then the growth potential of India has outweighed the "risks" and "tariffs" narrative about India enough to sway investors away from one of the safest markets; that is reason to expect exponential growth in FDI.

Silver bullet/ Wunderwaffe is only a jhumla term used by French dallas and Import Marshalls to shill for the Rafale and our politicians to justify buying it to the clue-less masses in response to opposition's bullshit Eurofighter and F-16 shilling.

I am glad Rafale was used for the purpose for which it was bought, inspite of low numbers of airframes, idgaf if it was shot down and how it was shot down, It is IAF's responsibility to learn from all this as a professional force like they did from the L's received in 2019's Swift Retard.

They did their job of doing pela of PAF and Pakis in general so it is a win in my book, no point splitting hairs.

Rafale is easily the best non-Amerishart and non-Russian( who's entire catalogue we have bought already ) 4.5th gen FA which is ITAR-free.

>compared to the Multi-Vendor country boogaloo that is Eurofighter where each country can veto the sale( Turkey is being made to do mujra by Germoney this way )

>or like the Swedish Gripen which uses a US jet engine and Italian radar :bplease:
Also, if you restrict your side from doing SEAD/DEAD before flinging jets at an enemy country, of course you'll lose assets.

I'm starting to think the political leadership does think Rafale as some wunderwaffe to magically appear and dissapear and complete objectives.

I have a feeling that something major changed in the armed forces.

That age old fascination with phoren maal has dampened a good bit. Indigenous upgrades/ weapons such as SAAMS and Brahmos Sukhois proved as good as any alternative, if not much better.

Tejas MK1A's, MK2's with brahmos NG's and Upgraded Astras are gonna be an absoloute nightmare.

If we keep adding 10 percent to our defence budget (estimated at 75bil) ever year till 2030, it will be 120bil. If we increase 8 percent every year it will be 110billion. Pensions are not going to rise as fast. We will have a lot more leeway for purchase. Inbreds can never keep up no matter how much bheek chongs gives them.

I'm glad Sindoor escalated to where it did. Think about all the money that would have been spent on arm twisted foreign dogshit rather than indigenous weapons. I hope I'm not wrong, but Indian homegrown capacity has grown to the point where the armed forces will no longer have excuses to scuttle them.

the import lobby was already being stonewalled by the GOI. this will only solidify that further. having said that, we better see some approvals flowing out quick from modi's CCS this time. they sat on key decisions for a long long time. no idea if it was babu delay, political maneuvering, or external circumstances, but we missed getting key systems in time due to this.

I feel India and China are on a collision course. There is gonna be a conflict bigger than Galwan. Either this year or next.

So I hope Govt. treats Operation Sindoor as a training exercise to iron out any deficiencies. So that we are prepared for the Chinese aggression.

Amca is not possible in a year but we must find some counter measures for the j20 and along with that fast track everything possible at war pace.

Man, I can't believe that decades after debunking the Patton tank syndrome with Porkis, we succumbed to it ourselves. Not to the same extent, of course but still. Imagine if the events of day 1 and day 2 were interchanged. We could've potentially gotten away with literally 0 losses of all kind except for shelling along Jammu (which cannot be stopped anyway). I can't even blame Gandhigiri for this one because we did bomb Porkistan in broad daylight with a tonne of receipts at the ready less than 3 days later. Plain incompetence is the reason why we have this small black mark in what is largely a very successful operation.

Ya'll Nibbiars This closes the IAF Loss discussion once and for all.
