If we junk IWT then we have free hand to build dams on any river especially western rivers. As of now we aren’t utilising our share of Eastern rivers water. Ravi river is technically dead it has been reduced to mere canal in lahwhor and on the river bed they have built DHAs.

Last few years government is planning to build dams in J&K and northeastern states. IWT involves talking with pigistan. With pulling out, they can go ahead with dam construction. This will take some years but in long run will have impact
